I was driving behind a Toyota this past weekend when I saw that he had a ribbon with the slogan "We support our troops...". I was proud of this Christian American until I looked further down and it said "... for killing Children and innocent people". As a Christian I was flabbergasted that this ignoramus would have the audacity to use this symbol to promote his own hate and uneducated opinions!

I quickly honked at him, then tailgate with my truck. I yelled at him to pull over. Once he did, I got out and preceeded to educate him on our troops who dying for us in Iraq and Afghanistan! I told him Jesus would not appreciate his views.

They are being killed by those hateful barbarian so we have the freedom to do what we want and say what we want. He told me to "f * off" along with other hellish profanities and accused Christians as killers. He then drove off. I took down his license plate. Should I report him to the police for reckless driving or sue him for slander?

That was me, except for that bumper sticker. I hit the brakes because you were on your cell phone and tailgating. If you remember, when I got out of the truck I kicked your sorry ***.

Please do not tell anyone you are a christian. I am not saying you are not one but being pushy and espoucing the view point you have makes it look like we think being aggressive is what Jesus taught and that simply is not true. I know your culture has taught you that exactly the way you think is correct thinking and you probably even have a preacher telling this same viewpoint but it might be a good idea if you would actually read the Bible for yourself. Nearly everything you said is just a regurgitation of what our merchant owned government has used to sell us on war for 200 years and perhaps some of those wars actually bore some resemblance to the plot you describe but most of them do not.

I suggest that along with reading your Bible you read some history, or watch the history channel.

Often when I talk to knowledgeable friends your name comes up. We say how can they go on believing this load of lies for so long do they ever open their eyes.
I was a troop, I am a christian, and besides my many life experiences that showed me my government was lying to me, I studied to know the truth and what you told that person and the way you acted well it just makes me really ashamed of the crowd who say they are christians.
When you got "saved" did your behavior change like in a twinkling of an eye. I am betting it did not. Bet you did not become that new creature (check out the scripture by looking up those words in the concordance) refered to in the Bible. I think not which means you are neither justified or reconciled and thus not "saved" yet you think you are. Thats cuz your shepard has been lying to you as much as everyone else has. I was there once when I graduated from HS. You are lost in an evil world. Jesus would like to open your eyes if you will let him. Study to show yourself approved then during study you will discover the error in your ways and maybe actually get saved.
please untill you have done the above do not tell people you are a christian

You're the reckless driver, actually, and it's only slander if he starts spreading lies about you.

Sounds like you have a problem with HIS right to free speech. It also sounds like you're a bigot and uneducated about Muslims in the Middle East. Not all Muslims are killers, and calling them hateful barbarians is not only hypocrisy on your part, but it directly defies the teachings of Jesus. Moreover, you act as though Christians are above others, which is a deplorable position, and again defies the teachings of Jesus.

If you had done that to me, I'll be honest-- I probably would have slammed on the brakes suddenly so that you collided with me. Since you were tailgating, it would be technically your fault.

In any case, your bigotry isn't terribly appreciated by anyone, and it's an ugly scar on Christianity.

Blessed be.

No, you were the reckless driver.

If he wanted to he could sue you for harassment since you honked, tailgated and told him to pull over.

Unfortunately, he has every right to freedom of speech, even if it is offensive to you.

If he had profanity and 4 letter words on his truck then you could have the police do something about that.

Don't worry.

A lot of cops are ex-soldiers so I'm quite sure he will get his come-uppance.

Remember, don't get into a mud wrestling contest with a pig.

You'll only get muddy and the pig will have fun.

People don't respond well to hostility. Tailgating and yelling is not a good way to SHARE (not force) your point of view. There will always be people who have distorted point of views and those people listen best when they feel that they're not being attacked. I can tell you're passionate about this topic, but try to hold your tongue. Evangelism is more important than someone's view on Iraq. Remember how Jesus spoke to people and practice that in your life. Pray, learn the lesson, and be ready for the future! :)

No! you can't report him for reckless driving, since you initiated the whole situation. That will come back to bite you. You can't sue him for slander, as he has the right to his opinion, no matter how much it hurts us.

You have already educated him about Jesus. You get thumbs up for that. Now, there is only one thing left to do--pray. God only expects us to talk to people in a kind manner. He does not expect us to turn their lives around. That's His job. He loves you and will reward you for trying. Just be sure to do it in a calmer, more loving manner next time.

Remember, God says that if we are not saved, we hate him. Have you been saved all your life?

God loves us whether we are saved or not and He expects us to love one another the same.

Prayer does wonders even if you don't see those miracles. We only plant the seed. Let God nurture it.

You shouldn't have pulled him over in the first place. This is America and he has a right to his opinion, and your stunt makes you look like a kook -- hardly a good witness for Christ.

Secondly, those Barbarians are deceived into believing a lie, just like most of the rest of the planet, and your responsibility is to pray for them to learn the truth of Jesus Christ.

Many thousands of Arabs are not muslim, but Christian. I lived in the Middle East and I've known quite a few Arabs, both Christian and Muslim, and the thing about most Arabs? Very nice, hospitable people, just like Israelis.

Let it rest, and don't do that again.

Well to be quite honest your driving isn't all that good if you tell a driver to pull over without any traffic laws whereas he only swore at you AFTER he had stopped so no reckless driving was involved at all, and your were the one tailgating...

as for slander well troops are military, they kill people, that's true no debate and Jeasus not appreciating his views means nothing to a Cort of law so I'd live out your life and ignore it.

Legally you are in the wrong for the provocation, and by admitting your road rage you have negated any negative act on his part: you were the instigator. Finally, Jesus would not have approved the violence in Iraq or from those who perpetrated 9/11. The fact is, Christ abhorred all violence in all it's forms. You were offended by a ribbon on car, yet you find no offence in killing of innocents. With respect, I dare say you need to re-educate yourself about what Christ stood for, clearly you have some things to re-evaluate.

I think you should get over it because the world is full of people who disagree with one another. As for reporting him for reckless driving? You put yourself in the same situation by tailgating him and honking for no real reason. And suing for slander, seriously? He may have accused Christians to be killers but you only purported his view of intolerant Christians when you pulled him over and forced your views on him.
