Sticking with the "theme of the day" I have a question about Adam and Eve. If "God" knows everything; what your intentions are, what you are thinking, who you will become in the future, wouldn't he have known that Eve would have eaten from the tree...?

If he truly loved Adam and Eve, why would he create a situation where they would ultimately fail? Technically speaking to believers - he already knew what was going to happen! How could he be so cruel? Offer them Eden meanwhile knowning they wouldn't last!

Doesn’t this further show God as a kid with a magnifying glass and we are the ants

Ok, there is this girl who used to be my friend, we had a falling out and now she is telling the whole town she wants so beat me up. My boyfriend has college classes with her and came home today and told me he is goin to her house to get his hair braided! Am I wronge for telling him that I think he should not go because it will hurt my feelings? I know it doesn't involve him, but I don't want everyone to think the she can say these things about me and him also think it is ok but going over there and being buddy buddy...am I wronge?

Here are my views on this:

Some black people make racism worse by constantly talking about it.

Some black people erroneously blame racism for their place in society or the economic scale

Some blacks are ignoring the black on black hatred affecting our inner cities because they're too concerned with white racism

I've been accepted more in white areas than black areas with my family (vietnamese/white husband and 7 month old baby)

Does this mean I hate my race?

Has anyone arbitrarily received a request to chat from someone they didn't know? How did you respond? Why? Didn't mind chatting with this lady who says she's 34 but her "dialog" is very inmature. Can't find anymore info on her. Any Suggestions?

I am a sgwm 40yo and I live in Kansas City. I earn a decent salary just over $50k and I do ok. I have to save money to take vacations, and live on a budget. I am simple country/cowboy type guy not into all the thrills and frills of a material world.

I have recently met a very nice man. He’s Canadian and 34yo. He is very handsome and makes me laugh. He is a good hearted person. However we come from different ends of the track. His earnings are several times what I earn. He has 2 personal assistants, a driver here in town. He lives the high life of spas, personal trainers and such. He jets off for his work to any number of metro areas and meets people like Madonna after their concerts with back stage or private parties.

Now he and I really do get along well, and so far the money and lifestyle differences haven’t been a HUGE issue at least here in KC. However, the other day he hinted at flying off to LA for some big opening. Heck yeah I would like to go, but not on my budget. If he offered to pay for the flight, hotel and such, yeah I could go. However then my pride gets in the way. Plus there is cost of a clothing for this event. I was told wear my wranglers a cool western shirt and I would fit in. He told me to be myself, he likes me that way. That in itself was a relief.

Now comes my PRIDE. I have always paid my own way in this world. My bills are paid, and most everything I have is as well. How can this work? Anyone been in a similar situation have any advice?

Yesterday was my husband's Bday and he was rather depressed. He gets depressed each year on his birthday since the attacks. He won't watch TV. he won't talk about it. It's been rough.
We have family in NYC and thankfully they did survive (2 friends were in the towers, an aunt lived 2 blocks away) and we have family in Sommerset County, PA where the plane crashed (1/3 mile away) and my uncle was working in or near the pentagon that day and had evacuate that day with thousands of others... So we (as is the entire nation) are very connected with the events of that day.

I feel guilty telling him this each year - but I tell him it's okay to celebrate his birthday, that the people who perished would not want all Americans to stop celebrating a special day just because it's Sept. 11. Babies were born that day ON THAT VERY DAY... and years before and years after. I think it's okay to be happy on 9/11 for something special.
