most likely because prayers are really heard and granted. but if your conscience is clean, don't worry, God is always in us protecting.Anything we wish or prayed for is equivalent to ten folds.Just keep on doing high morals, we have enemies only by countries but not by religion.

The sad thing about this is that Allah and God are the same thing. The things in the Bible more or less are the same with Islam as it is with Judaism.

Therefore, it is almost safe to say that a wish to Allah for something bad to happen to you would not work because that is not the way it is and a Muslim would be the first to tell you that. If you are pure of heart, no matter what religion you are or worship will not affect you because in the long run, they all are the same in one way or another.

You probably mean "wish evil on somebody". Well, in Islam, it depends. First of all, it is not at all recommended to curse or wish evil on somebody. Secondly, if someone wishes so, because of being suffered from cruelty and tyranny, or losing his/her right unjustly, then it is upto Allah to accept the wish. It is possible that the wish be accepted if you did something serious wrong to someone who is weaker than you. But if you didn't do that wrong, and the person wishes so, the wish will come back on him/her, not you.

And generally it is forbidden for a Muslim to harm or hurt other Muslims and praying evil against a Muslim unjustly.

Yes, thank God. Evidently, God almighty answers all prayers, and gives all what we need and even more, because God's capability is unbounded, and he's the most generous. Allah accepts your dua'a if you satisfy the following : 1- Do dua'a the correct way ( say the correct prayers, raise your hands to God, point yourself to his house, do ablution before dua'a, and ask God with his preferred names, etc) there are many factors that influence the "acceptance of prayer". You might want to learn them from your imam. 2- Reasons - God told us to do our tasks, and go through the physical causes that can make the change. Like if you want to travel, book a ticket. If you want to succeed, study, and so on. If those two criteria are satisfied, then hopefully Allah will answer all your prayers. Notice, there are much "techniques" you need to take into consideration while asking God something, this is what makes the influence in acceptance of prayer. But of course, after all God is the one who will accept, but you also have to go through the techniques and guidelines that God mentioned in Islam, so to learn those techniques/guidelines please ask your imam, he shall give you the full detail. Hope this helps ... May Allah swt bless you.

it's like voodoo - it has no power unless you believe it has power, and let that belief mislead you as to the real cause of any accidental misfortune.
