Who here thinks JonBenets parents killed her?

Why is it that only men can become priests? If a woman feels the Holy Spirit is calling her to priesthood, why is she denied because of her sex? I hear constantly about a priest shortage crisis. Wouldn't it benefit the People of God for the Church to allow women into priesthood?

I reallly hate to ask this question with the stereotypes that all gays are pedophiles but there's this girl that I found out likes me and I kinda like her too, but she is 17 and I am 22. 17 is the legal age of consent in the state I live in, but if we started dating and her parents didn't like her dating girls could they still have me arrested because even though she is at the age of consent, she is still not 18? And before anyone says get someone my own age, this girl is not only mature for her age, but for any age. She has way more sense that girls my age and older. She has the same type of goals in life that I do. But that really is beside the point. I genuinely like this girl and she likes me too. We have a lot in common. And it isn't that I don't want to date girls my age, it's just that she happens to be the right girl that came at the right time.But could I still get arrested?

that some of you have always lived in a world with aids. But back in the early 1980's this horrible disease devastated the gay community.I remember writing peoples birthdays on my calendar in green and the day they died in black...not to be morbid ..but because I always wanted to remember them....when I got to about 50 names of people who had died I said to my partner "I just can't do this any more...I can't keep counting"...A few of you will remember what a terrifying time is was...my good friend was refused admission to a hospital..he had pneumonia..because he had aids..they kept him in the ambulance...a friend committed suicide on learning that he was positive.....a lot of people died..and unfortunately a lot more are living and dying with the disease...SO to you younger people out there who wanna play around...let me tell you...there is no cure...the remedies are horrible on your body...you have no idea the horrible deaths of some of my friends.so pls remember/and be CAREFUL!

I tried to study my bible and it was not so clear to read so I turned on a brighter light. That did not help so I cleaned my glasses but no better. I tried to change the glasses and used a magnifying glass and the same. So I went to eye doctor and he said the problem was with me and my eyes. He said he would fix it if I agreed to pay a lot, so I did. Maybe because I could be the one to decide and I could pay.

Now I try to understand what is written in the bible and I can not get it clear so I reread and reread it [clean my glasses]. Next I get another bible version to check it out also {turn on a brighter light]. I go to the dictionary to see different word definitions [change the glasses and use magnifying glass].This does not help so I go to My God and ask for help and He for free tells me the problem is with me. He can and will fix it if I just ask. Ha Ha I say NO God because then you are in control and if you fix it, I can not pay for it. With you its free and I like to pay.

I like it because it's a good place to meet people and be involved in helpful activities but I had voiced openly to my friends that I didn't believe in the stuff the priest said. One day I went as far to attend sunday school...while I was there woman came in and asked for me..I went with her and she led me to the preists office. The preist was looking through some papers with his glasses down at the tip of his nose 'Hi...' he said. I kind of knew that he knew I had told this to my friends and expected him to be angry but instead he was very kind... at first, but then i noticed a strange gleam in his eye when he looked up. '...Hi' I replied, a little frightened. He paused for a minute, then said in a strangely kind tone. 'Would you like some kool-aid?' ....I was about to refuse but then a noticed a small dagger sitting on his desk. 'Sure.' I replied, and pretended to drink down the small paper cup...really just storing it in my cheeks. As soon as I got out I spit it in the plant. HELP!

Isn't it sad that the proffessor has to give a full lecture (prior to the Evolution lecture) about not trying to confuse the symbolic metaphors of creation with the scientific facts that support the theory of evolution?
And why would he assume that all religions consider their creation stories to be fact?
Is he just putting the Christian students on ice before they get all fired up?

I see so much hatred in these questions about religion, even coming from a few who claim to follow Jesus. I am a Christian, and because of that, I follow Jesus' example of how to treat others. He wasn't hateful toward those who hated Him. Generally people who look beyond personal beliefs and see another human being who deserves respect, are happier and able to communicate more effectively with others. Hate only closes doors to communication. If you have something worthwhile to say, why not say it without anger and insults?
