The true light comes from God. It is a wonderful way to live , in the light. But to say someone is living in the Dark, means, they don't see good things, There is no light. It is a sad way of life. But the good things as when the person crawls up and heads for the light, it will be better. Like in the deep , dark Valley's. We all sometimes walk in deep darkness, but how wonderful that we can pull ourselves out of that with the help of God. Ask and Ye Shall Recieve. Climb twords the Light. Yea, though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death. I will fear no evil. So in other words we have all walked in darkness. But there is Light.

It means that they are unaware of something in their life. I think the saying might be becacuse in the dark, you can`t see things that you could clearly see in the light.

My guess would be someone who has turned their back on the Light of Christ or upon the Light of the Scriptures.

It's someone who claims to have knowledge they don't actually have, IMHO. Honest emotionally detached inquiry is enlightenment.
