If you truly love Jesus -- you will love everyone - plant, animal and human.

Love all people ... do not try to convert them. Instead spend time in the service of others without any expectations of reward.

Nourish nature, protect animals and serve humanity. This was His message to us.

This is the way to peace and happiness that Jesus preached.

Obviously, it's hypocritical. Any real Christian would know that. I read a comment about two different types of hippies.... I thought Jesus reached out to the people who needed him most, not just those who looked good and fit a certain profile. Oh yeah, and I thought we were supposed to follow Christ's example. Work on that before you post another ridiculous question such as this.

Look beyond the long hair, nails, the dressing, and if you look hard enough, you may be surprise there is a little of Jesus in everyone, including the hippies.

Jesus was a hippie!!! What else could a long haired, sandal wearing guy with no job, no home, and likes to travel be?

Jesus wore sandals in basic terms in Hollywood video clips. opposite to favourite opinion, sandals weren't worn in his day. He did no longer smoke weed, or shoot up on the stuff John Lennon used. He did no longer declare to be the son of god the two, which he wasn't. He became into superb guy! an exceedingly, very superb guy, yet sorely deluded. i think of if he became into around and you stated as him a hippy, he may be very bypass (oops, pardon the pun)

Yes! You should love all people regardless of race, creed, or color.

(Strange that you mention hippies...after my parents left the reservation back in the 1960s; they became a part of the hippie movement and ended up in Los Angeles.)

No, because you don't like Jesus just for the sandals, long hair, peace and love; his assumed hippie appeal.

No. Hippies come in two varieties; the stoner hippie, and the know-it-all hippie. I have encountered both, and the know-it-all hippies are far worse. (they're the people that walk around in hemp, claiming all Americans are fascists pigs and how they can't wait to move to Europe/other country, where the intelligence is. We can't wait for you guys to move either, sweeties.) Jesus didn't take drugs and he wasn't an annoying know-it-all hippie, so no.

It's hypocritical to love Jesus and hate ANYBODY. (But sure...particularly hippies, if they're the nice 1960's-1970's hippies....not the "me generation" pseudo hippies :)
