The Bible says to love her the way Christs loves the church and gave His life for her.

You need to be more complete. In what way does she disobey you? She is your wife. Not your employee. The Lord tells everyman to be a good leader of his family. To have Love and respect for his wife. How humiliating to be punished by our husband. Hopefully, your not abusing her. Sounds as if your an abusive husband. If you are abusing her then I hope the Lord tells her to run for the Hills. If your wife is not being a good compatable wife, then sit down and talk to her. Take the credit cards away, or the check book. Take her car away from her. Tell us, what has she done wrong and then we can give you info.

The Lord says to love your wife as Christ loved the church.
He also says to get the plank out of your own eye before you attempt to take the splinter out of another's eye. Maybe you should take responsibility for your spiritual leadership or lack of it in the home before you expect your wife to submit- although I will say that is not to excuse her behavior but praying for her and giving it to the Lord to soften her heart and discipline her will get you a lot farther than your efforts or your sarcasm!

Love your wife. You should never "punish" her. If my husband asked a question like I would kick his lowsy a$$. She is your wife, not your child so you don't punish her. I am so lucky to have such a good husband who treats me with respect and who I respect back so much. You guys may need counseling.

you shall shuteth up for we live in the year 2006 and women are equals to men. Yes the Lord wants us women to love our husbands, but also for the men to love and respect us as well. It goes both ways buddies. You aren't the one responsible for punishing her. You are her husband...not parent.

Punish her how you will...

but dont be surprised when you wake up tied to the bed after a poisoned dinner and she pours scalding hot water on you "down below" and leaves your little man and his two friends severely burned.

He says to keep your hands to yourself. Check your godly character and she'll respect you for it and show this by "obeying" or she'll hit the road and let you discover yourself. Either way it's a win win situation.

You'll punish her the most by STAYING with her. That's a punishment worse than death, and keep talkin to her so she knows how bad it is.
