The overwhelming majority of Germans did not seem to mind that their personal freedom had been taken away, that so much of culture had been destroyed and replaced with a mindless barbarism, or that their life and work had become regimented to a degree never before experienced even by a people accustomed for generations to a great deal of regimentation.... The Nazi terror in the early years affected the lives of relatively few Germans and a newly arrived observer was somewhat surprised to see that the people of this country did not seem to feel that they were being cowed.... On the contrary, they supported it with genuine enthusiasm. Somehow it imbued them with a new hope and a new confidence and an astonishing faith in the future of their country.

It's getting tiresom! It's not Islam that's causing the problems in our society..... it's the actions of a tiny tiny minority of lunatic extremists who've linked themselves to Islam. By the way, I'm not a Muslim.... just think it's time this country got it through its head once and for all that Islam and Terrorism are two completely seperate enteties.

My roommate (also female) has been getting very playful recently, but I am afraid to respond because I am not sure if it won't complicate our living situation. This isn't a great romance, but is it a good idea?

I love any music that has a good beat, but am I the only one who thinks that Most, not all, Rap DOES need to be regulated, even at the cost of freedom of speech. It seems some rappers and their songs go beyound the limits. I would rather my kids see a nipple slip at the super bowl then listen to the garbage thats avaible to them now on the radio.

For the record, I listen to Country, Rock, Metal, Classical, New Age, Mowtown, Blues, and Folk. So I am not just griping about a music based on age or race.

Many Christian people (and all branches of Christianity) believe in a god that in my opinion is so hateful.
He is against women being equal to men, he is against homosexuality, and many other things.
And, supposedly, if one does not accept him, they are going to hell???!
That's not a very loving god.
Yet many of them say he is.
I have seen many Christians, though, that are nothing like this.
I'm just talking about a certain bunch.
Will someone please fill me in on this?

My soon to be seven-year-old daughter wants to have her birthday party at "Jeepers" (a "Chuckie Cheese" type of place). She will be inviting kids from her class. Here is my problem: I can't allow her to invite every child in her class, as there are probably about 25 children, and at $15 a head, that is far beyond my budget! How can she invite only a select few without the others feeling excluded? Should I ask her teacher to give these kids their invitations? Help! I don't know how to handle this!

If you are seeking answers then awesome! But if not why are you here trolling?

I do not believe that beings from ther planets have visited us in space ships. Other people do. I do not goto UFO places trying to prove my beliefs that they are wrong. It makes no sense to do this. I just don't understand.

Race, body size/image, sexual preference, religion etc. All inflammatory subjects and yet I don't remember the last time I was able to have a proper grown up conversation on any of these subjects without it turning into an argument. Either through my oversensitivity or the person I'm talking to. I've read loads of questions on this Yahoo! Answers site and I see the same thing over and over again. Is it ignorance? Are we just getting aggressive as a defence when we don't know all of the answers? When are we going to start accepting that people will not always agree with what we say? That sometimes, we're wrong.
