If you don't believe in God that's fine (He still luv's you anyway), people are entitled to their own opinion and God isn't forcing you to believe in him. But for me, reading post from people who have something against God only strengthen my faith because it makes realize what a treasure I have in Christ. And you know what the weird thing is? Jesus said this would happen... I know it's the beatitudes when he said "blessed are you how are persecuted from My name sake." So fellow believers keep ure head up, Jesus warned us about this anyway. :)

Outside my office I overlook several buildings with flat roofs. Each of these roofs have gravel, or rocks, covering them. I can't see what the functionality is. In fact, the added weight would seem to be more a liability than anything!

Y do men think they r here to control women. I know men hate women in positions of authority. Women r not here to make kids. WE have rights too. And in my state (Ohio) it is ok for a man to beat his woman to death. Ohio doesn't care about women.

Tweed, Blackface or Marshall?

What would god play?

Or

If you’re an atheist or agnostic, what would a hypothetical god hypothetically play?

Don’t even think about telling me that god is a drummer. Oh please…

Wouldn't you want to learn about the REAL Jesus, not some book that was translated and mistakes were made. Wouldn't it be about learning about what he might have really said, and not what some st jerome translated in 400AD in rome because he was thought to be the "smart" one, or cause some king in 1611 said sure go with it?

Wouldn't your love of him who changed your life not be dependent on words on one page in one verse, but the history behind how that verse got to be in front of you in English?

One of the reasons I am an agnostic, is in my own spiritual journey, I learned of the translation errors.

The message of love humanity is clear, but wouldn't you want to try and learn and become familiar with why what it is is in the modern English Bible? Even if it wasn't in the oldest copies of the original?

There is no proof besides the bible, which is a book that has been edited hundreds of times by the church (which by the way makes money from all the people who believe in God) What do u guys think?

In cases where you are saving it, you are clearly lending it to them, in cases where it goes in and comes back out, they are making money on the transactions.

Why the craze of banks?!

I've noticed this morning that the deeper a question gets, the less likely that someone will answer it.

It seems like everyone wants to tell everyone ELSE what they should believe, but if you ask people to really think deeply about the basis of their own beliefs, ... well... you get few answers (more specifically, a lot of NON-answers)

And don't complain that it has anything to do with biased questions or I've been unfair to one side or the other. I think I've been remarkably neutral in my questions.

I credit those of you who (theists, atheists, AND agnostics) provided some well-thought out responses.

to the rest:
Why are you here, if you're not interested in questions and answers about religion and spirituality?

(this will be my last question for a while due to the intrusions of real life!)

What does it mean to be beautiful, and what does it mean to be righteous.

Close your eyes. Picture a woman. Who cares what physical appearance this person has. She brushes her teeth so theres basic hygene. Who cares what color hair or eyes or shape or size.

This woman works in a hospital. She spends 40 hours a week trying to do her hospital job. She helps peoples lifes medically when at this job.

During hurricane Katrina she spent 9 days straight at the Astrodome distributing medicine and love.

Going forward she is going to be volunteering her time to help people outside of her hospital job.

She is generous with her love. She reads people and responds.

Her intelligence is high, but that is cause she has good genetics and parents who helped her grow and mature.

She runs a few miles a day.

She does not believe in God. What qualifies any of you, question for everyone, to call this woman, unrighteous? She is worthy of your love.

I don't understand why women have to change their name.
My husband is north american and I'm mexican.
We don't change our name in mexico. And it's not for feminism it's always been like that. my ancestors didn't do it either. I haven't changed it but,
I really would like to know why north americans do it.
we live in mexico, but when we visit in the states people think that we are not married, it bugs me.
