Good question. In the bible God has actually cause more destruction here on Earth than the devil. God has destroyed cities (Soddom & Gamorrah), murdered children (plague of Egypt), and attempted to wimp out humanity completely with a flood! What has the devil done in the bible? Conviced Eve to partake of the forbidden fruit, tormented Job, tempted Jesus. Sounds to me like God has committed more evil acts (in the bible) than the devil.

The evil of the devil is equal to the sum of the evil of all the people who give him power and status through their BELIEF that he EXISTS.
He is the ultimate cop out for people who cannot accept personal accountibility for their own evil feelings, actions, temptations, and beliefs.
The most evil thing that the devil has done to humanity - not necessarily found in the Bible - is giving us an excuse, someone to blame, for our own poor choices and bad behavior. "The devil made me do it."

jesus was walking one day and he came across the devil jesus realized that the devil was toying with humans in a cage. jesus asked the devil if he can have the humans and the devil replied you don't want these humans i taught them how to make weapons and bombs and guns and to kill eachother and if you take them they will defile thy name spit in thy face and hang thee till death

the "DEVIL" is not real. he was made up by people to show as a symbol of evil. the reasons being two-fold
1. so society to scare people into behaving
2. to show extreme evil so "god" could be the example of pure good

Try disease and suffering.
Oppression of the people.
Murder, rape and pillaging.
All summed up in this verse.
Acts 10:38 "You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.
Who was doing good?
Who was oppressing the people?
How was He doing good?
Healing.
How has the oppression carried out?
Disease--sickness.
Oh yes, OLAY!

13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. 14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. 15Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.

I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. [a]
