Who decides what is right or wrong

Not metaphorically but actually be in heaven right now and still breathe? Is part of me already there? Can I pull my idea of heaven from my mind into the right-here/right-now? How would this work?
Also, do the heaven(s?) connect?
Just a thought I had on the drive home.

Can they produce evidence and show us the "common ancestor" that both apes and men evolved from, and tell us where that creature came from? More, can they produce evidence and show us the first living creature, and tell us where it came from?
If they can, why have they not done so?
If they cannot, what makes evolution more valid than Intelligent Design?
Shouldn't our children be trusted to make intelligent choices for themselves based on ALL the evidence??

I am a LDS church member (Mormon) and I really don't get it. I've been a member all my life, and I see nothing wrong with their teachings. Sure, it's different. Sure, we believe in the Book of Mormon, written by a Latter-Day Prophet named Joseph Smith, but people act like we're a disease. I suppose it would fit into the 'fear what you don't know' category there, but really; I get along with so many people. I'm not mean, judgemental, hypocritcal or any of those lables 'Mormons' seem to get.

I also dislike the fact that people seem so quick to believe in that 'all about mormons' episode of South Park or any other resource they can get their hands on, but not ask a real, devoted, mormon. Come on. It's South Park; a cartoon made to make people laugh.

So please, explain to me what is so wrong about my faith. I'd really like to know why I'm so insane and stupid for believing in it. Thank you.

Protect Social Security
Take a stand for Social Security. The Bush plan would cut benefits and privatize Social Security which would gut a sound program and cost trillions of dollars of debt. Sign our petition to Congress opposing Social Security privatization. Tell your Senators and Representative:

User daveheez, who seems like a pretty cool person, asked about a neighbor of his. When suggested that he go over and get to know her he said that this was counter to London culture. Really? I have never been to England though I hope to see it one day. I am just curious.

"Our first work must be the annihilation of everything as it now exists. The old world must be destroyed and replaced by a new one. When you have freed your mind from the fear of god, and that childish respect for the fiction of right, then all the remaining chains that bind you - property, marriage, morality and justice - will snap asunder like threads"

What is your opinion on this thought. I am confused as to what it is that atheist believe. They claim to believe that God does not exist however that statement is contradictory. By denying His existence, you are acknowledging Him. What does everyone else think?

we all suffer, I believe in suffering because it brings me closer to a God of Love and sufferings bring us closer together, suffering is very important, I really want to suffer for the sufferings of others and I would be eternally gratefull if as many people as possible could pray that I will for that cause.

No Intelligent Design (aka creationism) promoter even ATTEMPTED to explain their hypocritical position that ID should be taught as an alternative to evolution, but that FSM should not.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/?qid=20060826105943AAxBti0&r=w

Two people gave the question a "thumbs down" but obviously didn't or COULDN'T! respond with an answer.

Are they admitting that their position on ID and FSM is arbitrary and hypocritcal, by not even trying to defend it?

No wonder that the ID movement has pretty much packed it in and given up on the whole thing.

Oh, one guy just gave it a shot, but didn't even seem to understand the issue, since he addressed the theory of abiogenesis rather than evolution.
Given that abiogenesis and evolution are completely different things (and the validity of the one does not rest on the other)... well, this "answer" was irrelevant.

I remember 10-20 years ago, all the Conservatives said porn proliferation would lead to more sex crimes. Well, broadband internet has practically made porn mainstream these days, with Jenna Jamison being a household name.

Has rape statistics risen over the last 15-20 years? Nope.

Ever since 1973, when the Justice Dept, started keeping statistics on rapes, there have been about 1.5-2.5 rapes per 1000 people.
Ever since 1995 when the Internet started to boom, rapes have steadily dropped from 1.5 to 0.9 to 0.6 and finally in 2004 it was 0.4 rapes per 1000 people.

http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/glance/tables/viortrdtab.htm

Conservatives are wrong about social cause-and-effects time and time again. But they still think they are RIGHT.
