how do you ask the order of something?
for example if you want to know if someone is the first or second and so on child of a family
or what the sequence of a version of a movie is.
required languages: specially English, and then French, Italian, Spanish, Germany and others if you like.

For something like a movie, you could ask, "Which movie is the first in the series?" Another version might be, "Which movie came first?"

Asking someone if they're the first or second child is kind of personal unless you know the person well, but you might try asking something like, "Are you the oldest child in your family?" That's not the exact question you're looking for, but it should get the answer you want. A more precise wording would be, "What is your birth order?" The problem is, that if they don't know what "birth order" means, they won't understand the question.

Do you have any older brothers or sisters? Are you the oldest? Are you the first child? Are you the second, third, fourth, fifth...

Is that the first movie in the series? How many movies are in that series? "Did you see the fourth "Rocky" movie?" "No, but I saw the fifth "Rocky" movie."

Just some examples. Hope it helped.
