Religious people often say that they talk to God, and hear God’s voice through their prayers. Most intelligent people know that when we hear voices or talk to fantasies in our mind, that such behaviour is the result of a mental disorder. This is much the same way as talking to aliens on spaceships, chatting to voices in your head, and numerous other similar mental problems.

It’s well known through Yahoo Answers that I am trying to find a cure for religious madness and help free people from the “blissful” but nonetheless mentally handicapped world they live in. This whole process, although very time consuming, will ultimately help our younger generation and bring greater happiness to our world, without the need for the slaughter of innocent men, women and children by organised religion.

Religious people, when you talk to your God, or listen to your God, can you try and explain what you hear and feel at the time. I’d greatly appreciate your input to my research studies.

Please tell me what you would do in the following hypothetical situation.

Your strolling downtown throught the sidewalks of New York. As you walk past an ally, you notice that some thugs are beating someone up. One of the thugs is standing at the ally-street crossway shooting dirty looks at anyone who takes attention. Your cellphone is dead and the only payphone you can see is right in front of the thug.

Please answer the following:

1) what art thy religious beliefs, or lack there of?
2) what would thou doest?
(be honest brothers and sisters, for ye art representatives of thine faiths)

b)what would thou doest?

I think about her constantly, and she knows how I feel about her. I am not sure if she feels the same way, but she has told me that she is gay. She is 4 years older than me, but I think I am in love with her. She told me that she has been hurt before, and I have told her that I would never hurt her. I would withstand all of hell to hold her hand. I e-mailed her and in that particular e-mail, I told her that I had strong feelings for her instead of just a crush. She called me and asked me if I had e-mailed her, I responded yes, and she then said that she had orientation and she wouldn't be able to check it for about two days. I am scared that she will think I am awkward. Am I gay?

I asked what muslims do for the good of mankind . All I got was told how horrible I was and that I am a biggot. Not one person out there could just answer the question. Why not seize the opportunity to change peoples prespective on you. Your retaliation to the question only convinces people more that your all nuts .I would welcome those that want to ask questions concerning my faith, and yes christians also have things to be ashamed of.

My partner has an affair awhile back. After the yelling and screaming was done, I agreed to meet with the Other Man at a local bar. We both got drunk wound up back at his place proving who was the biggest and who was a better lay than the other. Afterwards we beat each other up and I went home. Was this a particularly strange thing to do?

I had mentioned the word prick to a kid and got in trouble for swearing. I never thought this qualified as a swear word. What do you think?

Taken off money?

It was only added to paper money in the 1950s to combat the "godless commies" in Russia. Cold war is over people. Why should the government support only a select religion?

How would you like it if "In Allah we trust", "In Budda we trust", "In Zeus/Jupiter we Trust" or something of that like was on our money? All of a sudden you'd be like "No No, we can't have that on our money!"

THIS COUNTRY ISN'T A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY. OUR FORFATHERS DIDN'T ESTABLISH THIS COUNTRY IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST OR ANY OTHER RELIGION.

Give me a GOOD reason we as Americans should support a select religion, namely your religion, and delcare all others as inferior.

Coming from the social construction theory of gender, gender is socially constructed rather than biologically determined. According to the Functionalist theory, gender serves as an organizational tool to segregate people into groups and give them a certain set of tasks based on their segregated groups. This supposedly creates a stable and productive society. However, the terms "productive" and "stable" must be examined carefully; in a society where gender also serves to oppress the majority of the population, both are subjective terms and open to wide interpretation. (Even the group holding the most power is subject to standards of conformity.) And, if people analyze societies today, many are not productive or stable thanks to gender; rather, many societies are less stable and there is a varitable "gender war" taking place. so i ask, is gender oppression acceptable? If it isn't, why are we still gendering ourselves?

The entire argument against abortion seems to hinge on the idea that an embryo, no matter how small, is an actual human being. Anti-abortionists consistently refer to human embryos as babies, children, and people. I have great trouble understanding or accepting the idea that a clump of two, four, eight, or even 4000 cells can even be called a "baby", or that a blastocyst has the same legal rights as I do. Or that when I was a blastocyst, I had the same legal rights as my mother, etc.

Incidentally, please don't educate me on the Christian doctrine that "all human life begins at conception"; I'm quite aware of it, and it has no place in a discussion regarding the public domain. Try to use arguments that will make sense to people outside your faith; if you plan on living in a secular democracy, it's what you have to do.
