How could this annoy me? How could this annoy anyone?

The only way it could, is because they don't have a clue what it means.

Love your neighbor. Love=Greek..love less or hate not.
Love less your neighbor.
Hate not your neighbor.

The same as love your enemies.
Love less your enemies, as you love less yourself.
Hate not your enemies, as you hate not yourself.
The word "love" here is (action) not emotion.

The New Testament speaks of "Love" meaning 8 different kinds in the Greek. This is NOT "agape" love. Which a lot of people confuse it with.

Love one another . is "agape" love.
Jesus is telling Christians to love one another, not every person on earth, in "agape".
The "love" here is emotion. You will react with God's action.

You think not? Why does God, Himself tell you in Pslams 1.1-3 to shun scoffers. Do away with them. Leave them alone.? Because He meant it. This is not God's "agape" love. hello?

Jesus Christ died on the cross from "agape" love. If Jesus told Christians to go "agape" love everyone, Jesus is then saying, Christians go sacrifice yourselfs in the front yard for everyone on a cross like I did. hello?

Jesus did say: Love one another as I have loved you. "love" here is action. What action? He died a the cross. physical action. He is telling Christians to phyiscal action love one another by "action helping". not "emotional comfort". He sent the Holy Spirit for emotional comfort.
You can't "agape" a scoffer. You CAN love"action helping" a scoffer.

How can this annoy anyone?

It doesn't annoy me that he would ask me to it, it annoys me that I find doing the right thing so hard to do sometimes. We are supposed to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, and since by nature, we all are self-centered, I suppose there should be alot spoiled neighbors out there. Neighborhoods would sure be better if we could all do this huh? Thanks for the good question & God bless. P.S. I think it is easier to love my neighor than some of my relatives right now LOL

Well, I'm sure in some cases it must be really hard. Like if you looked up your neighbor on http://www.criminalcheck.com/ and found that they had committed a horrible crime.... totally annoying to give those people ANY good energy, much less love 'em.

Luckily, one of my neighbors is hot, and the other two I don't know enough to see their faults... so at this moment and in this place, it doesn't particularly annoy me.

It amuses me that so many said "no" as if loving your neighbor was just the easiest thing in the world...
If we are honest with ourselves, the truth is that loving other people as we love ourselves is the hardest thing Jesus asked us to do. Oh, wait, no it isn't! He turns around and asks us to love our dadgum ENEMIES!! Can you beat that?
You know, if everyone actually did this, wars would end? We could fire the cops? Heck, we wouldn't even need government...if everyone truly treated everyone else as they want to be treated, there would be no hungry kids, no homeless people...heck, we might even be able to close down the animal shelters!
The world woud become...dare I say it?...a Paradise!!

No. why would it annoy me? That's an easy way to share God's love with ppl, by loving them as He does.

God does not "ask" us to love our neighbors....He COMMANDS it! I cannot and will not get annoyed at one of God's commandments!

That is the 2nd greatest commandment and I believe the hardest one to follow, you would have to have the love of God in your heart to be able to do this.

No, because we all know it is the right thing to do. It can be difficult at times, but a meek and gentle spirit does bode well of God's followers.

Excuse me, but isn't the main root of annoyance that others aren't as you wish them to be?Well, God is telling us to cooperate with each other, to relate, to love, to mend, to do something he wants us to, therefore if you do some of your annoyances will be soon forgotten.

Not if there actually was a god; but since there isn't, I find fundies annoying for pushing their fairy tale onto others.
