SERIOUSLY. There was one guy who asked if God was anti-semitic, because of a verse he completely misinterpreted. There have been others who ask questions about the Bible, and yet even when someone takes the time to write out a reasonable and intelligent response, they are overlooked.
Why is that? Is this forum just full of ignorant people?
I'm not calling atheists ignorant, so please don't interpret this question that way. But why ask a question, if you don't want to know the answer? Especially if there IS an answer besides something meaningless (in the scheme of things) like "God works in mysterious ways."
No, instead they like the "They were high" kind of answers. WHY?
Sorry for ranting, but I really would like to know.

It seems evident that there is a strong connection between God and creation, much stronger than many fundamentalists would care to know.

However at the same time everything being God does not sound exactly right either. There is a difference between sameness and simulartity. There is a difference between essence and the source of that essence. There is a difference between the whole and it's parts.

The Hindus describe creation and God as purusha or the cosmic man who's hand stretches ten fingers beyond. I think this to be an apt analogy. It seems many get purusha and the ten fingers that stretch beyond material reality (i.e. God) confused; But nevertheless they are intricately connected with each other.

It seems that fear is a focal point these people rally around. Fear of WHATEVER. Are atheists and other liberals just more brave, so they don't buy in? Liberals are the people who really mean "Live Free or Die." Liberals want their freedom protected more than they want their lives protected.

Okay on the last question I asked I wound up receiving answers like READ THE ONE I HAVE. Thank you, but my delima isn't that. So I will try to describe my situation to give an idea of what I am trying to ask. I am currently in school and I am taking an old testament class and because our text book refers to Bible verses a Bible is required for this class. Unfortunatly I am very dumb when it comes to understanding all of this. So I was wondering what the best study bible that could help me with this course. Thanks for all your answers!

I'd like to express my thanks to "Musem" for proving that Muslims will blatantly lie to defend their pro-Muslim anti-Christian agenda. I stated that answering-islam.com was made in response to the anti-Christian website answering-christianity.com

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgrL2tnzKmtsaE5d..ulKC8gBgx.?qid=20060821123356AAyTtz4

Musem stated:
"Actually it's the other way around. The anti-Islam website started before http://www.answering-christianity.com..."

Let's take a look at the WHOIS data from http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

I mean, people grow up being tought that there religion is correct. When people grow up believing something, they think what they witness is something that has to do with there belief's.. For example: Someone that grew up believing ghost are real, tend to believe that of they hear a nose it was a ghost, as for someone that wasnt.. When they hear a nose they dont think its a ghost.. So when people are raised to believe that there religion is right, and they hear a nose they may think it was there god, as for someone that hasnt been raised to believe in that hears a nose they dont think its god.. I guess you can look at it as being brain washed in believeing that your religion is correct, and when your brain washed your brain really truly believes that waht ever is going on is real.. Altho if your brain washed in believing that and you end up being wrong about it than you would never know.. I hope that made sence.. If so can I get some of your mature thoughts about this?

Call me crazy, but Allah sounds a lot like a simply desert bedoin than a creator of all. Can we send Allah some design consultants, maybe some Disney execs to provide greater entertainment in heaven, cause I love wine and woman as much as the next guy, but I need other stuff too...

Quran 56:36 “(Regarding Heaven) Then we have made them VIRGINS,” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/056.qmt.html#056.036

Quran 47:15 “(Here is paradise) which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible… RIVERS OF WINE, a JOY to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear.” http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/047.qmt.html#047.015

Regardless of wages in your country, how many "minutes" do you have to work in order to buy a hamburger, french fires, and a soda drink?

If you don't have those, cite a normal lunch.

Some places in US, a worker on minimum wage, would have to work about 75 minutes, after taxes.
A lunch plate may require one to work 90 minutes or more.
This can be more or less in some areas.

If you would like to use some other product, do so, but please indicate the hours worked to pay for it.

Heinlein is stating that it is puzzling as to why a supreme being would want to be flattered by people. What is the point, other than to stuff the pockets of the church with money.

I am asking why you think God needs this flattery, the praying in public, the donations to the church and that sort of thing.
