SERIOUSLY. There was one guy who asked if God was anti-semitic, because of a verse he completely misinterpreted. There have been others who ask questions about the Bible, and yet even when someone takes the time to write out a reasonable and intelligent response, they are overlooked.
Why is that? Is this forum just full of ignorant people?
I'm not calling atheists ignorant, so please don't interpret this question that way. But why ask a question, if you don't want to know the answer? Especially if there IS an answer besides something meaningless (in the scheme of things) like "God works in mysterious ways."
No, instead they like the "They were high" kind of answers. WHY?
Sorry for ranting, but I really would like to know.

I'm not talking about my answers. I'm talking about lots of other peoples' answers.

I'm not talking about agnostics. My husband is agnostic and I know that he really is interested. I'm not even talking about ALL atheists. There are many who don't believe simply because they haven't done the research. Others have, and I respect them for it.

When some people ask a question, they're only looking for justification. If twenty people refute their claim, then those people are wrong and "missing the point". But after the one person says "You're totally right." it just reinforces what they already thought, and doesn't help the problem.

Unless you were looking for this answer, instead:

People are very immature.

I see your point, but as an atheist my opinions are frequently looked over by religious people on these forums and are simply passed off as 'ignorant'. If people have a belief they will chose that every time over someone elses, especially if the 2 conflict.

You'll find a lot of non-questions here, and not just about the bible. I'd say about 90% of the people here are just looking for self-affirmation. They'll simply pick the answer that completely agrees with their crap so they can feel justified in believing it.

This phenomena knows no bounds: it's rampant on Yahoo! answers. There are people who have no interest in being informed, they just want to either 1. annoy people or 2. find people who agree with their already formed opinion.

It takes little effort to find Theists who display the same sort of behavior.

Sometimes people want to see if our answers are founded on
" fullness -of-self ", or what we truly believe. Sometimes it's not so much what we say, but how we say it, & if we live the way we say we believe. Is it more important that they accept your reposnce as "the only responce" or is it better that they may want to seek to know more, and eventaully get their own understanding on the matter. Only one way, Jesus , but the door to knowing Him is as infinite as He is.

Good Question.
They are looking for Truth and Proof, but when you give it to them, they still reject it.
I don't waste my time with them anymore.
I can talk to anyone of any religion. But Atheists are the most hateful, rude, self-absorbed and disrespectful bigots I have ever dealt with.
And it's no wonder, since they think there is no one greater than themselves. They worship at the Altar of Self!

People want to know stuff about the Bible, probably there interest is from the heart, but they don't want a relationship with God, they don't want a compromise with Him, they don't want to surrender there life and "life style" to God.

I agree with malak. The spirit that is on non-believers is from their father satan and all he wants to do is steal, kill, and destroy. Like father like son/daughter. Satan knows he can't really touch God's children, but he will do everything in his power to torment us and that includes using a forum like this.

For some, it's a sort of "Mutual Admiration Society" thing. They like to parade their sarcastic wit for everyone to see and be awed by their great intellect.
Let them get as much pleasure from it as they can, since it's all they have, I guess......
