I'd like to express my thanks to "Musem" for proving that Muslims will blatantly lie to defend their pro-Muslim anti-Christian agenda. I stated that answering-islam.com was made in response to the anti-Christian website answering-christianity.com
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgrL2tnzKmtsaE5d..ulKC8gBgx.?qid=20060821123356AAyTtz4
Musem stated:
"Actually it's the other way around. The anti-Islam website started before http://www.answering-christianity.com..."
Let's take a look at the WHOIS data from http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

Aissa girlie, listen carefully. I am not trying to attract anyone to my religion. I am not on here using LIES to defend my religion. I don't paste verses from the Bible hoping to convert someone to my religion. I paste FACTS. I can stand by everything I say without worrying about someone catching me in a LIE. Too bad your "brothers and sisters" in Islam are making such a bad example for the decent Muslims. I have no problem with Islam. I have a problem with what Muslims are trying to do, and how they do it. AMEN!

Because they are commanded by the religion to lie. If you find an honest one, he'll give you the exact source in the Hadith [oral tradition] for this injunction. Good luck.
ADDENDUM:
AISSA IS A LIER! What other lies has she told us about Islam?
Muhammad treated truth and deception according his own style of situational ethics. For example:
Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "Who is willing to kill Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?" Thereupon Muhammad bin Maslama got up saying, "O Allah's Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?"
The Prophet said, "Yes," Muhammad bin Maslama said, "Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab). " The Prophet said, "You may say it." ... (Sahih al-Bukhari 5.369, cf. the article on Ka'b bin Al-Ashraf for further details)
Muslim Doctrine of Taqiyya (or lying is ok): In the west very few people understand a very important doctrine of Islam called Taqiyya (Taqeya, Taqiya). Until we understand this in the west, we will never be able to deal with the Muslim world properly. Taqiyya roughly translates as lying for the faith. A Muslim may tell any lie when they are threatened. In short, a Muslim can lie as a holy duty to deceive and gain an advantage over the unbeliever.
Per the request of the Orc I proved my point.

Moslems are encouraged to lie to present a positive image of Islam. There is even a special term for it. You cannot believe a word they say. Only the Koran and Hadiths will supply the answers - and what I have seen sickens me. Putting towns and villages to the sword, capturing slaves, and sleeping with 9-year old girls is not exactly what one would expect from a religious leader, because if we seen behaviour like this in the 21st century we would condemn it as a cult, rather than endorse it as a religion. "Religion of Peace"? Huh!

Discussions about relligion are so pointless.
Neither side wants to concede that the other have any portion of the truth.
I'm waiting for the day we discover an intelligent extra-terrestrial race.
I'll then look on and giggle as all the religions duck and dive to explain how 'their' truth encompasses the aliens as well.
What will happen if the aliens also have their own prophet/sonofgod/wiseman that was sent to them
Are we going to end up with an interstellar jihaad/crusade to 'prove' which religion is correct ?

Neither moslems or xtians are honest in this matter. Gaining converts is the "only" thing that matters to them and how the convert them is of no account.
That's why neither of them should be trusted in anything whatsoever. A liar remains a liar in everything. Remember that the bible and it's corrupted and distorted copy, the koran mare merely the Book of Lies Vol 1 and the Book of Lies Vol2.

The real question is why are you trying to spread bigotry and hatred against Islam? There are many people in the world who practice Islam--it's the second largest religion in the world. You're spreading propaganda against a people in which most of them do not commit violence, in fact they're just as likely to as any other Christian. Let me ask you, do you know of anyone who practices Islam? I mean actually KNOW them, and are friends with them. Because I do, and you know what? They're just like everyone else. There is no anti-Christian agenda. What you are doing is actually spreading an anti-Muslim agenda--and isn't that just as bad?

That is just one group of Muslims - don't paint everyone with the same brush - you sound like you're taking this issue way too seriously, its simply unhealthy! Your religion shouldn't lead you to attack others beliefs even if they have a go at you. Remember god's words in your bible "turn the other cheek"? (I'm an ex-Christian now atheist by the way)

This is the reason exactly why I don't believe in any god! Look at the state you religious people get into for crying out loud!! I'm happy, healthy, have a gorgeous family and no hang-ups about bloody religion! You always seem to be against each other and that's very sad. We don't need gods - just love and peace. Get real.

Very good question indeed. I understand that the Quran or Hadith does actually say it is right to lie to non-believers.
