Have tried to do this through my 360 page and it will not do it. It keeps saying that there is an error.

How does one convert a GIF image into a JPEG image, if that is possible.

I am posting this here because this is the most heavily trafficked section and only two people answered in the Yahoo answers section, their answers were O.K., but not sufficient.

I need further help. Can I convert this GIF image into a JPEG image or am I just stuck with Yahoo's ugly avatars? I will just not use one probably if this cannot be remedied.

Help please.

We are voting for people who want war to keep us "safe". When did Jesus tell us to kill others to enhance our safety? If we accept what Jesus taught, shouldn't we be trying to understand our Muslim brothers?

even after the Ten Commandments said “Thou shall not kill”. For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered

the equivalent of 'doubting Thomas'?

"I don't believe it," barks Thomas. "I don't believe a word of it. You're seeing what you want to see. Jesus is dead. I saw him die, and part of me died with him. But he's dead, and the sooner you accept that fact, the better off you'll be. Give it up!"
Peter pleads with him. "Thomas, I saw him myself, I tell you, and he was as real as you are!"
Thomas is cold, with an edge in his voice that cuts like ice. "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."
But Thomas's anger cools, and by the next Sunday evening he is eating with his fellow disciples in the same locked room. Suddenly, Jesus stands among them once again and speaks -- "Shalom, peace be with you."
All the blood drains from Thomas' face. Jesus turns to him and speaks plainly, without any hint of rancor or sarcasm, "Put your finger here, see my hands." Jesus holds out his scarred hands for him to examine. Thomas recoils. Not out of fear, really, but from a mixture of amazement and revulsion. Jesus begins to open his outer garment and says, "Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."

Thomas is weeping now and then begins to sob out loud. Jesus reaches out and puts a hand on his shoulder. Then Thomas slips to his knees and says in awe, "My Lord and my God!"

Jesus replies, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

The bible god admits he performs evil acts.
A Christian wrote: "God did not create evil. Evil is simply the state where God is not present."

If "God did not create evil" then what of the following?

Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Exodus 32:14
And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.
Judges 9:23
Then God sent an evil spirit

1 Samuel 16:14
But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him

Quotations:
Isaac Asimov, "On Religiosity", Free Inquiry magazine: "Although the time of death is approaching me, I am not afraid of dying and going to Hell or (what would be considerably worse) going to the popularized version of Heaven. I expect death to be nothingness and, for removing me from all possible fears of death, I am thankful to atheism."
H. Havelock Ellis: "And it is in his own image, let us remember, that Man creates God."

Why does Matthew 10: 37-39 say otherwise?
Anyone who prefers father or mother to me is not worthy of me.
Anyone who prefers son or daughter to me is not worthy of me.
Anyone who does not take his cross and follow in my footsteps is not worthy of me. Anyone who finds his life will lose it; anyone who loses his life for my sake will find it.

As religious belief dies out do we need another formalised and codified system of morals, ethics and values to replace it, that is not based on superstition, and if so what would that be?

for all god`s affairs, all he does, is he sais BE and it is.( from the holy quran)
that simple he forgive the sin of those he want, and they are people who submit to god`s will, and repent of their sins, and they dont follow their desires instead of what god said.
ofcourse they will not become perfect humans and without any error and comepletely sinless.
but god KNOWS those people who sincerely come to him and TRY to be righteous as much as they can, and those who submit to his will instead their desires.he is all knowing.
so to sum it up, its about our choice, wether to choose to follow god's will or to choose to follow your desires .
( one of the meanings of islam is submission to one god)
so the proccess of God's forgiveness is not something complicated,he is allknowing, he knows who deserve it,he forgives them:)

of course if you abuse people's right God wont forgive it and you have to make it up and ask for the forgiveness of those people.or you will face the consequence

I'm exasperated because it seems that many atheists who answer questions on this site express their aversion to "religious" people in terms of "rationality." In other words, the only explanation that's offered for believing in "GOD" (as we understand God) is a lack of intellectual faculties and/or a refusal to examine the "facts" which would lead a truly "rational" person to conclude that there is no God.

I've also noticed that atheists often attack religious people for believing they are "absolutely right," but isn't someone who states categorically that "There is no such thing as God" just as . . . well . . . adamant that their world view is absolutely true?
