If you have come to Spain, say where! (K)

From rainy England Spain seems a warm idyllic place to live. Great people, fantastic food, wonderful countryside, loads of history...and you have siestas which I think is very civilised. Not too sure about the bull fighting, but I understand it does come from a rich culture.
I have visited northern Spain (Vigo) and loved it.

I come to Spain at least once per year, to Nerja. I find the spanish people to be very friendly with a rich culture and I always enjoy the Feria festival held in october. I find the food is great, especially the seafood. I especially like how everything is reasonably priced and very generous measures on the drinks. A far cry from rip-off britain where I have the misfortune to reside. I always look forward to my Spanish holidays and I intend to retire there when I get old. I've been to many countries but spain always remains my favourite.

Spain is La Madre Patria y olé! I'm going to Madrid next summer. My family on my fathers side is from Islas Canarias. They came to PR almost 200 yrs ago. On my mothers side they are Andalusian. I love the artists: Miró, Dalí, the playwrights: Lorca, my personal favorite and Pedro Almodovar is great although I prefer Buñuel. When I was little I had a huge crush on Rafael Martos. I also like Ana Belén and Joan Manuel Serrat. And last but not least the novel Don Quijote de la Mancha is awesome.

I have been to Spain three times -- 1) Madrid, Sevilla, Ronda, Granada, Nerja, Cordoba, Toledo, Avila, Segovia. 2) Oviedo, hiking in the Picos De Europa, then on to Bilbao, San Sebastian, La Rioja, Zaragosa, Girona, Barcelona. 3) Madrid, Cuenca, Siguenza, Madrid, Toledo. A lot of driving.

I really enjoyed the people, the food, the scenery, the culture. Spaniards really know how to enjoy life...great place can't wait to go back again.
