The quarter in question was the Wisconsin quarter, but the mint is not looking to recover them. However, because of the publicity, there are coin collectors who will pay money for them. What to look for is the leaves on the corn. Some coins have a die break, (where the coin die cracks), right on the corn cob causing it to look like another leaf. Just get one or two coins and you can see what it is suposed to look like, and then check all others you find to see if they have another leaf.
