even after the Ten Commandments said “Thou shall not kill”. For example, God kills 70,000 innocent people because David ordered a census of the people (1 Chronicles 21). God also orders the destruction of 60 cities so that the Israelites can live there. He orders the killing of all the men, women, and children of each city, and the looting of all of value (Deuteronomy 3). He orders another attack and the killing of “all the living creatures of the city: men and women, young, and old, as well as oxen sheep, and asses” (Joshua 6). In Judges 21, He orders the murder of all the people of Jabesh-gilead, except for the virgin girls who were taken to be forcibly raped and married. When they wanted more virgins, God told them to hide alongside the road and when they saw a girl they liked, kidnap her and forcibly rape her and make her your wife! Just about every other page in the Old Testament has God killing somebody! In 2 Kings 10:18-27, God orders the murder of all the worshipers of a different god in their very own church! In total God kills 371,186 people directly and orders another 1,862,265 people murdered

Were they following God or not? If they were warned and they were then they face the punishment that God has set out for them. God does not want to kill anyone - we make choices that in turn force God to take His hands off us and allow us to be destroyed either by God or someone else.

hey hun....it amazes me how people love to blame God for every thing....we are the ones that bring destruction upon our selves...read your bible a little further and tell me if you find a single person murdered in it with out cause?...you wont....for every action you choose there is a consequence....you speak of a God that doesn't love us....that is full of hate and murder... when God's people turned from him time and time again tempting him and angering him he always took Compassion on them cause he loved them....not to mention he took on the shape of man (Jesus Christ) and came down from heaven his self to pay for the sin of man!....if that's not love i don't know what is...he could have destroyed us all and you or i wouldn't even be here now posting this question and replay if not for his mercy and grace....please think of that and read on the Good things God has done... love daisy

You forget how many times God also sent word to people living in the land promised the Jews and told them to leave before telling His people to kill them.

You make generalizations and have no concept of what you speak.

So what's wrong with that. God has the right to destroy us when ever he pleases. We lie to God, curse to God, Kill each other in God's name. We think about unnatural sex. We betray each other. We don't trust God or each other. We don't take care of our bodies that God gave us. We are stubborn, greedy, hateful, we kill each other for money, we make each other into enemies. We destroy his a great planet he made for us. If you made some thing that does all of these things wouldn't you want to destroy it before it does any more damage?

Maybe He loved them so much He wanted them to come back and live with Him in Heaven. Heaven would be so much better then where they were living.

Who says they're "innocent"? God's a jealous god.

Only the chosen ones will be able to interpret the bible. Obviously you're not one of them!
