Whenever I read the background of a serial killer, they almost always had a strict Christian upbringing, or they read the Bible a lot. USA, a Christian nation, has only 4% of the world's population, but produces most of the serial killers.

I'm American, but I've run into an accent in Atlanta (I have recently moved here) that baffles me. Here are the characteristics:

Vowel shift:
short e, long a confusion ("sell" pronounced as "sale")
short i, long e confusion ("deal" pronounced as "dill")
long i, short a confusion ("my" becomes "mah")
dropping of final dark L ("bill" becomes "bee-o")
sk reversal ("ask" becomes "axe")

Can anyone tell me:

Is this accent particular to Atlanta?
Is it particular to the South?
Is it particular to young people?

Or, what?

This question is not intended to provoke anger and Im trying to ask it in a genuine way. Besides obeying the laws of the land which have consequences, what is the purpose of being a moral person?If you say love and caring, what makes you love? Is it instilled in you? That being said, what source causes you to be moral? Is it like the animal kingdom who nuture their young and try to stay cohesive for order, or is there something more Im missing. Thanks.

Do you think parents know if their kid is bisexual (or gay)? I am just curious if most parents know. I'm still not sure of my sexual orientation, and I don't think I've ever showed any signs of being bi (FYI, I am a female teenager), but do my parents know and are just waiting for me to come to them? I'm pretty close to them, but I don't know if they would know if I don't tell them. I'm not sure if I will, but I'm just wondering...

She is totally without sin, but has recently taken up going to church, for reasons I cannot fathom. I am naturally worried about her associating with a bunch of sinners, and becoming contaminated by them. I'm an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, and therefore sworn to uphold freedom of religion, so I can't tell her not to do it.

I feel frusturated because when I go to stores I cannot explain what I want because the employess do not understand english. Simple Spaish is not that hard for me. I could memorize certain phrases or take a dictonary to translate this if I had the time and they could wait. Spanish speakers who are native are usually understanding. Would their boss let me and should I go to this extent to get what I need? It almost seems easier. Spanish is just not that hard for me and they might understand it better. I am far from fluent and would like to know. What would a person think if their gringo customer just switched to spanish? I want them to learn but I also want to get what I need. As to other languages spanish is as far as I can go on any complex basis. Other languages I only know a word or a few. It is just not practical unless I live there or there is a large influx for a long time. I need to practice and if there is no one to practice with it is pointless.

I heard a loud noise outside of my trailer and whenI opened the door my possum stinky ran inside as fast as he could making weird and loud scared possum noises. I looked further outside and there were hogs with horns on their noses making loud oinking noises charging towards my trailer.

IS this normal? I called the cops and they hung up on me. I dont have any weapons and I dont know what to do. I am looking out my window now and there are more than 10 hogs and they are charging my trailer and putting dents in my metal siding. What should I do?
