Surely, for young people it does not JUSTmean getting 'pissed and layed' on Friday or Saturday night does it? I am 17.
Do I HAVE to do all this stuff just 2 be kool with the 'in crowd' ?
Most of them regret it on Monday morning.

Well first of all, I don't really openly practice any realigion on my own behalf, But I do celebrate the holidays because my parents make me. Anyways, I have read that the mother has to be of Jewish descent for the son or daughter to be Jewish, well, my Mom is a Christian and my Dad is a Jew. I practice holidays of Christianity such as Christmas, and holidays of Judaism such as Hannukah(however it is spelled), I really dont celebrate these holidays because I believe in the religion, but because I have to because of my parents... But, if I would have to choose, I would say that Jesus was the Savior not just for the Jews, but for mankind.

Seriously, I am a believer but I am curious as to who has the deeper faith in God. Those who have been tried more, or who suffer more or those for whom life has been kinder. What do you think?

Many Christians say that it's wrong to pray to a saint, because it's wrong to pray to a statue, but is'nt it the same thing if we ask each other to pray for us. many Catholics say that they are not praying to a statue. That it's a symbole of the saint. I know in Exodus 20: 4-5 4Thou Shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, norserve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of that hate me: but in Revelation 5:8 it says 8 and when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vails full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

I see many questions and answers claiming that inbreeding would cause too many deformed people from incest in the case of Adam and Eve.
Never mind the fact that they don't know if there were any genetic deformities (which there weren't according to the bible), they seem to overlook a very simple point...

Evolution would also need inbreeding to work. In the improbable scenario that a human did evolve from something, a male and female would have to evolve at the same time (doubling the odds by the way). Then they would have to evolve within the same proximity to find each other (significantly increasing the odds).

Then you have an "evolved Adam and Eve".
Not only that, you would have to apply this to every living species.

Either way, you have an inbreeding situation. So, please tell me how it is that evolutionists try to use this argument against creationists?
It seems like just another argument posed in which science doesn't apply to their theory.

Don't want to step on any toes, but I have a question for all who believe in the Trinity.
God the Father, God the son, and the Holy Spirit. Right?
What about God the son. He was born of a woman, so he was part of her all so. My question is......Does God the son also have another part of him, which is part of the woman, which makes it, four Gods in one? And if not, Why?
Where at in the bible is the word Trinity? Where at does it say they are a Trinity? When Jesus said, "My Father and I are one", Why did he leave out the Holy Spirit? Doesn't that phrase just mean in union with one another, like a husband and wife being one--IN UNION? Why are there so many places in the bible where it speaks of one or the other as separate beings. If they are three in one, why are they not mentioned together at all times? And in John 1:1 couldn't that be a mistranslation? There are many mistranslations in the bible according to my concordance. Alot of the trinity belief just doesn't add up.Sorry

I understand there is a passage stating "If you bless my people, I will bless you." Does anyone recognize the reference and/or can you provide others? Thanks. I am in the process of writing an article and will be presenting at a Marketplace Ministry seminar in Sept where this might be helpful. I'd like to be specific when quoting the passages. Are there any parables about this topic?

I am asking all Christians or anyone that believes in God to pray for me. There is this job doing private duty nursing in my town that pays more than my current job and let's me be home all week to teach my kids. Currently I work nights and teach them. Please if you do not believe do not take offense.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

I had seen and heard reference to this. And if so, isn't Christians adopting a Pagan custom and therefore a sin?
