I understand there is a passage stating "If you bless my people, I will bless you." Does anyone recognize the reference and/or can you provide others? Thanks. I am in the process of writing an article and will be presenting at a Marketplace Ministry seminar in Sept where this might be helpful. I'd like to be specific when quoting the passages. Are there any parables about this topic?

the scripture that comes to mind is Galatians 6:10 which states " Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith." Remember also that in relationships we are to not be bound with unbelievers, 2 Corinthians14-18. This passage is really talking about not associating with people who are against God not just someone who is not a Christian. 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 tells us not to associate with a person who is "named a brother" or called a Christian and yet has a lifestyle of sinful behavior. I once worked for a company where one of the owners was a head deacon in his church and yet he fired a Christian employee by making up false charges against him to try to save the company money. Shortly after that the company had to be sold because a good enough profit was not being made so you also "reap what you sow" Gal 6:7. You might consider Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 as a parable not just on work ethic but on the importance of working close with someone who is united in purpose.

Malachi 3:10 - "Bring all the tenth parts into the storehouse, that there may come to be food in my house; and test me out, please, in this respect,” Jehovah of armies has said, “whether I shall not open to you people the floodgates of the heavens and actually empty out upon you a blessing until there is no more want.”

Is that what you're looking for?
