According to another question, it's because they are sexually repressed fundamentalists. I think it's because Bacchus got them all drunk and they're all sleeping with Aphrodite. A bunch of angry drunks in a lovers quarrel is never a good thing.

Not all the Gods are angry. Some are very benevolent toward humankind, such as Hestia protecting the hearth & binding community together. She eventually gave up her Olympian position to live with humans. Ceres protects the fields and food we grow, and provides General Mills with grain for their cereals. Though Hera has a jealous side, she enforces fidelity in marriage, or punishes. Hermes helps the lost find their way. Hephaestus is a blue-collar God, forging the tools, & weapons. He also is a master craftsman. to name a few.

Not all gods are angry... but the ones that are usually are very powerful in an atomic bomb kind of way. Some religions believe it is because they have very heavy pride, like a man with a machine gun taking defenseless innocents hostage in a bank heist. Its all about a show of power, in other words " I have the POWER, so I AM IN CHARGE, listen to me or I will HAVE TO MAKE you holy" ( holy meaning full of holes..da-duck-doosh...I know bad joke ) haha

They aren't. The gods have given Eris more control as of late, and Eris being Eris, things are much more chaotic. Eventually, the rest of the gods and goddesses will return from vacation and relieve Eris from duty
