Not all white people are of a "proper" lifestyle and not all blacks are of a "ghetto" background.

Look at the statistics-whites are better educated, and have a lower crime rate. Blacks glorify being ghetto-look at their music videos, movies, etc. They seem to like it. Material things mean more to most blacks than an education. They haven't yet realized an education would get them nice things, and they wouldn't have to drive their BMW home to the projects anymore.

what, i know lots of poor white and lots of rich black. good and bad lifestyles for both groups. all that ghetto music crap is coming from a bunch of filthy rich! ghetto is full of poor, race is not the issue. work ethic an effort to get an education and to raise ones own standard of life determines who is poor ghetto and who is not.

It's a stereotype, but it's unfortunately mostly true in this country.
Blacks also propagate this sterotype through their music, television, and movies. They are more proud of being ghetto instead of doing something positive about it.

It has a lot to do with education, ambition and how motivated you are to better yourself. My best friend is white, has only a high school diploma, lives in a trailer park and works as a waitress. I am African American, have a masters degree, have my own condo and am in hospital administration

because that how they want to portray themselves. Black people want to look rich while white people actually want to be rich. They prefer to appear rich rather then work to actually be rich. I don't put 20' plus wheels on my car and think I'm pimping it when the rent is due. i pay my rent and keep my stock 14'

it is a stereotype promoted by the media. Actually there is some truth to it though due to discrimination, the blacks could not get ahead because of prejudice.

People are people, skin color doesn't matter. Where I come from (Georgia), 'white rednecks' live no differant then 'black ghetto' people. And there are just as many black people living, as you said 'proper' as there are white.
