by INDIAN i automatically assume that you are from india, because i have been so indoctorinated by my politically correct culture that i cannot fathom a native american calling themselves an 'indian'.
so with that in mind, I love indian women, the guys are pretty cool, and you guys are very smart.

I admire the Indian culture. I would hope the Indians would have a good chance to become well educated. My husband has a Indian friend and he also worked with him before he retired. He is married to a Danish lady and I worked with her at my job. They were honest and seemed to do an outstanding job for their employers. They have a very nice family. In my job, I helped Indian women who were abused by their husbands. I had great respect for the women and did all I could do for them. I think there might be the same problems for Indians that the so called white man has. They drink too much alcohol. I have part Cherokee in my ancestry family tree. It goes back to Tennessee in the 1800's. I also have Irish, Scott's, Welsh and English. We are all Gods children and I know he loves us all no matter the color of our skin. We must pray to our God and ask for peace for all mankind. I have always lived in a very diverse community. Two of my aunt's married Greek emigrants in the 1930's. I have cousins who are married to Mexicans. My best friend is mexican, who came from Pagosa Springs. What is important to me is what is in our heart and whether or not we have a soul and faith. I didn't mean to make such a long story for you to read. Thanks for your question.

Well, you asked. If you're an India Indian.. (damn politically correct junk) then sorry, but generally I don't like the males from that country. I tend to think that they would kill us, or treat us like they do their women if they could get away with it here in America. I don't like them for how they treat their little girls, and their women. I also hate their accent only because I can not understand a single thing they are usually saying. Which ticks me off because most of them have swamped our medical field. It really sucks trying to talk to your Doctor, or your childs Doctor when you have no clue what is being said. I do however respect how hard they work, and how the younger Amercian ones seem to treat the women better in general. Overall I don't trust them, probably from to much media or movies. I tend to stereotype as most people do (even though they all claim they don't). They also have a rather bad body scent (to me), which I know is in the body sweat from their food. I suppose we smell like grease, sugar, and taco bell to them. I also look at them and wonder if they have relatives who are into terrorism, and I basically just want to pimp smack them for all the dead children, murdered women, raped kids, and butchered little girls who get circumsized over there.
Now, if you're Native American Indian (gawd whatever it is now politically) then I'm very sorry for how awful your ancestors were treated by mine (or whites in general). I see very few Native American Indians, so I really have no real life concept of them. Only from documentaries on alcoholism and reservation life. That and movies (old westerns). I think Indians kicked some major butt, were awesome, and I feel remorse, guilt, pity, sad, etc when I think about them. I think of the babies and women that were killed or raped, enslaved, etc and it turns my gut. I basically see a ghost of what was once a great people and is now more a phantom. Only to be seen on TV and if I drive 45 minutes to the local casino (and reservation). We've eradicated probably some of the best medicine and traditions with the N.A. Indians, and turned what's left of them into casino owners, drunks, and welfare people. I feel shame, and would want to look down or away from you if I saw you in real life. I'd be to shy to talk to you.
eh, guess I'm hoping you meant N.A. Indian cause I sure sound like a witch on the first kind of Indian lol

I don't know every Indian, I know my next door neighbor and would trust him with my life. I make every effort to distinguish people as individuals and not resort to stereotyping. I.E. Some white men can jump, some black people have no rhythm, and some Texans are far more at home herding a multibillion dollar company than a herd of cattle.
Does that answer your question?

i am not an american, but have visited u.s. yor question is somewhat non-specific. whado you mean by perception ? and which category of indians ? those who live in u.s ? or in general ?
if you are in u.s. ,you must yourself find out, how do they perceive indians. and if you are in india, why should you care ?
i think, as far as my observations go, they are a very practical, professional, outspoken kind, unlike indians. their work culture is well cultivated, they enjoy life, and believe in the practicality of solutions. don't barge into other's houses without notice, no beggars, or even friends bothering for loans, parents don't interfere, children earn their own pocket money, they fot their own bills when out for dinners together with friends, wait inq's patiently, and don't break them, consider senior citizens in facilities, don't talk loudly in restaurants, in a shopping mall, wait for others to pass with their carts, always gret with how ya doing, and most importantly, keep all the roads, public place, gardens, zoos, parks, cinema halls, libraries, and restroms, spotlessly clean, by throwing the garbage in the beans, using toilets properly, roads are maintained, no breaking traffic rules, signals, wrong parking, over taking, jay walking, to list just a few of their disciplined way of living !
now do one thing, compare your indian habits, personal, and at large, then you only draw a conclusion, how the americans must be perceiving you, honestly ?
