Well first of all, I don't really openly practice any realigion on my own behalf, But I do celebrate the holidays because my parents make me. Anyways, I have read that the mother has to be of Jewish descent for the son or daughter to be Jewish, well, my Mom is a Christian and my Dad is a Jew. I practice holidays of Christianity such as Christmas, and holidays of Judaism such as Hannukah(however it is spelled), I really dont celebrate these holidays because I believe in the religion, but because I have to because of my parents... But, if I would have to choose, I would say that Jesus was the Savior not just for the Jews, but for mankind.

You are Jewish.

The rabbis are liars and have corrupted the Tenakh (the Bible).

There is nowhere in the Torah/ Bible that states you have to be born to a Jewish mother to be Jewish. NO SUCH THING IS EVER MENTIONED IN THE TORAH/ BIBLE. THERE IS NO SUCH LAW OR REQUIREMENT STATED IN THE TORAH/ BIBLE. IT IS THE TORAH/ TENAKH AND ULTIMATELY GOD THAT DETERMINES WHAT JUDAISM IS, NOT the rabbis. The rabbis made it up and have been using their lies to control Jewish life. The rabbis don't like Yeshua because he allows people to think for themselves and the rabbis consider that a threat/ challenge to their power/ control.

If your father is Jewish you are Jewish and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Most of the Jews in the Bible had Jewish fathers and no Jewish mothers.

If they lived by the lies the rabbis tell there would be no Jews. By that definition of Jewishness many people in the Bible would not be Jewish. As a matter of fact, if that definition of Jewishness were used, Yitzak (Isaac) would not be Jewish and neither would Yakob (Jacob) be Jewish. If Yitzak and Yakob are not Jewish, then none who call themselves Jewish are Jewish because all Jews are purportedly descended from them.

Technically and genetically speaking, you can only know if you are Jewish, paternally (through your father). Male-specific chromosomal patterns are the only way, scientifically, to determine whether or not you have Jewish ancestry and thus is the only way to determine whether you are Jewish or not. Genetically all Jews are maternally (through your mother) descended from at least 10 different and geographically seperate female lines. THERE ARE NO MATERNAL CHROMOSOMAL PATTERNS THAT INFER JEWISHNESS, HOWEVER, THERE ARE PATERNAL CHROMOSOMAL PATTERNS THAT INFER JEWISHNESS. So, one has to ask the question: How do you determine, legitimately, what a Jewish woman is? Since Jews are descended through so many different and geographically seperate maternal lines, which one is Jewish? The only way to know if you have Jewish ancestry and thus if you are Jewish is through your father. That is the way it was determined in the Torah/ Tenakh and if that definition was good enough for GOD, it is good enough for all.

Essentially, what I'm saying is this, either GOD is a liar or the rabbis are liars and if I choose, I say the rabbis are the liars.

I am the same as you, I have a Jewish father and a gentile mother and I am a believer in Yeshua (JESUS). I too celebrate the High Holy Days, but I do not celebrate Easter or Christmas, they are not biblical holidays.

I am Jewish and dang proud of it and no rabbi has the authority to tell me otherwise.

They (the rabbis) neither have the permission nor authority from GOD to tell you that you are not Jewish.

Even if the rabbis say no, that doesn't matter because GOD knows you are Jewish and in truth, that is the only opinion that matters.

Believe that...

It is Judaism, and only Judaism that can determine who is a Jew.
Thus, Judaism's standard is that anyone who is born of a Jewish mother or who has converted properly according to Jewish religious law.
To paraphrase the other answerer; Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Thus, since yout mother is not Jewish then you are not a Jew.
Also, since you beleive in Jesus, then whatever religion you choose to follow (if you do in fact do so) is not Judaism. Judaism explicitly forbids belief in Jesus.

If you believe in Jesus, then practicing Judaism is really irrelevant, whether or not you are Jewish. If you still are curious, I have heard that reform Judaism considers the child of a Jewish father to be Jewish, but that's all pretty much academic.

Alleluyah! or Whatever!

You seem to be between the Devil and the deep blue sea, frankly.

Jews are an invention of the Trick or Hoax of the Bible.

You will not find Jews in the Old Testament of the Bible. They just dont exist.

There never was a religion called Judaism before the Hoax of the crucifixion. Judaism is not mentioned in any Scripture and that would have made the Children of Israel of more than one religion.

Israel or Yaqub was a Muslim prophet and his children were Muslims. Those who accept the handle of Jews today are actually renegade Muslims and will never settle until they accept the Quran.

The Bible was invented by the Romans who took the Hoax of the crucifixion of Jesus King of the Jews and made it into an enhanced form of Mithraism or worship of Zeus the Sun God by fusing Mithraism and the Islam of the Children of Israel.

There used to be Twelve Tribes of Israel from the Twelve sons of Israel or Yaqub, and these Twelve Tribes became one People, Bani Israel, under the leadership of prophet Musa (Moses?).

Tribalism was lost and the Children of Israel were known as Yahuudi or Penitents when the Messiah was sent among them, and the followers or companions of the Messiah became known as Nazarenes or Helpers, and they were Muslims. as the Yahuudi were supposed to be, but the Yahuudi rejected the Messiah and attempted to have him crucified by Roman power and authority in Jerusalem.

The Romans were less inclined to corruption and refused to be bribed by the Biblical Jews (the Hoax of the Bible) and set the noble and righteous and innocent prophet, Esa al Masih free, and crucified instead, two Biblically Jewish thieves to whom they ascribed the name "Jesus KIng of the Jews" in the Great Hoax of crucifixion of the Messiah and the Great Escape of the Messiah, whereby the Romans had the Biblical Jews accept the thief (thieves) as their King and the "blood" of their King Jesus on themselves and on their children, by which they became accursed and the land lost in the promise, since even Biblical Jews were not supposed to be crucified but were allowed to die by hanging on the same day, which Law was not adhered to with the thieves who were left on their holy crosses on the Passover, into the Sabbath. and, Oh Lord! the Land became lost and accursed, as can be seen by events today, where bloodshed never ceases and the "Jews" still cannot settle and must build a Wall and depend on Mother USA for the Bombs so that they can continue being murderers as the curse of the Messiah has made them (see John 8:44).

You should therefore be very careful about what you claim your father was, as neither your father nor his grandfather can be sure of what they are or were and the Jesus that died for the Jews were two "Jewish" thieves.

Jesus said you have to repent and save yourself by your deeds, even as far as to cut off your own hand, if you steal, or pluck out your own eyes, if you love porn or lust after the women.

So! Save yourself Christian, and dont allow yourself to be misled by the wolves in sheep's clothing.

No parents can save their children and no thieves can die the accursed death for your sins.

Repent and seek the forgiveness of your Lord!

You are not a Jew. But you are b'nei Noach (a child of Noah) obligated to follow the 7 Noahide Laws required of all mankind (both Jew and Gentile alike).

I think you are only a Jew if you believe you are. This is sort of one those things that it's what you believe that makes you who you are. I mean, ethnically maybe you're Jewish..but ya, belief wise it's up to you.
