I'm hoping this doesn't draw any negative comments, so if you don't like it, you don't have to comment. This comes from "Examining the Scriptures Daily 2006" published by Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania.

"Let us not give up in doing what is fine, for in due season we shall reap if we do not tire out."-Galations 6:9

Many believe that vigorous physical activity on a regular basis can alleviate tiredness. Similarly, regular spiritual activities can help relieve any feelings of emotional or spiritual exhaustion. The expression "doing what is fine" implies action on our part. Doing good things for others can indeed help prevent us from tiring out in our service to Jehovah. In contrast, association and activities with people who disregard God's laws can become a tiring burden. The bible warns us: "The heaviness of a stone and a load of sand-but the vexation by someone foolish is heavier than both of them." (Proverbs 27:3)

Christians: Please share a personal faith story when 1) God moved dramatically in your life and 2) your faith in Him increased immensely and/or you were given hope. Thanks so much!

I'm a water polo player (and a girl) who has been practicing with a boys team. I've made friends with all the guys and we joke around all the time, and i can give and take all that they say. But, even being so, when we get in the pool, they treat me like one of the guys, except for one player, who I almost always have to guard because h plays the same position as i do.
Hes one of the few people I actually dont really talk to on the team anymore...ill explain why, and he goes to my school's rival all boys school, but theres a lot of tension in the pool when we match up.
i hung out with him once, and he tried to hook up with me in his car, and i declined. I guess that was mistake number one.
But in the pool, ever since that happened, hes really violent an sexually agressive with me. Ive ripped more thanone swimsuit trying to guard him, and he puts in hands in places they shouldnt be. Is he just playing hard defense, or is he deliberately tryign to hurt me. What do I do?

hey guys, i'm facing a big prob @ work now which i'm not sure whether it's real or not! recently, we just shifted to our next position @ work. at 1st, i'm so lucky that i can get an average of 6 sales per day which is consider quite a good one and my friend wasn't doing well @ her new place, so she consulted one of our colleague who knows a bit abt fengshui. he told her to place a crystal on her desk. right after she did, her sales numbers started to go up while for me, i had a lot of rejections, even upto 0 sales. of course, i'm happy for her. but what i wanna find out is, does the crystal that she placed on her desk affects me? if so, what can i do to neutralise this situation for myself? oh sorry for being so superstitious at this young age! haha~

In the above link I posted another question, for under a different train of thought, but then after reading a few of the answer, I feel that it would be a good question for this catagory.........

What do you think of my flip of the coin theory?
If satans purpose is to deceive, then is his deception set to make us think hes deceiving?
Is the meaning of life, is to be a successfull experiment?
Could the bible be all lies created by a deceiptive demon? but then if the later question is true then am I being decieved into thinking its a truth, then being decieved into thinking its a lie, into thinking its the truth, etc?
Is god a mad scientest, and satan his hence men, his hunch back butler? refer to the serpent, and the bet him and the devil had
Is satan still in heaven, with god, and other?( keep in mind The Book of Jubilees, and the book of Enoch, both before the angel .......)

my sister and i have been disagreeing about this. when you place a statement in parentheses, does the period go inside or outside of the parentheses

For example:

The dog jumped (but didn't land on its feet).
OR
The dog jumped (but didn't land on its feet.)

I know that this is not what I want to do for a living, yet, I feel stuck because I have not found a job related to my degree yet. I work as a social worker but my degree is in communications. Don't get me wrong, I work with kids and I care deeply for each and every one of them, but I am also very stressed behind this job. I don't get sleep at night dreading the next day's work. I hate my job and am searching new opportunities, but how do I deal in the meantime?

I'm a 14 year old boy, but everyone says I'm younger than 12. I am very shy, fat (I mean not very fat but not thin either). Everyone in my classroom thinks I am weird. When I try to do something to look good I look even dumber than before. I have no friends. Nobody likes me. What should I do?

I know that it is suposed to be a gift called empathy that only certain people may have. I have it and I was wondering, if you do have it, is there a way to deal with the emotions of sadness? They go away after a while, but while you are in the presence of someone sad, how do you deal with that?

You say Jesus is powerful enough to save us and cannot lose us to the Devil. What about Judas Iscariot? At Luke 22:3 it says that Satan entered in to Judas, giving the idea that at some point, Judas started going astray. Do we not all have free will? Why would God go through all the trouble of making rules, then telling us we will be punished for breaking those rules, if He is only going to turn around and let us do whatever we want and take us to heaven anyway?

Note the I know many people in the science profession who follow Christianity.

Say you're an employer in this profession and someone applied for a position in the science field and they mention that they are Christian. Would you turn that person down for the job based on their beliefs,or would you take their qualifications for the job into consideration?

Think before you write! A cult is a system or community of religious worship and ritual.
The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual. Obsessive, especially faddish, devotion to or veneration for a person, principle, or thing.
The object of such devotion.
An exclusive group of persons sharing an esoteric, usually artistic or intellectual interest. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
The followers of such a religion or sect.
JEHOVAH WITNESSES ARE NOT NON OF THESE DEFINITIONS. THEY DONT PRACTICE THESE DEFINITIONS. SO Y DO PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE A CULT? WHAT DO YOU THINK?
