You're not the first person to wonder about this.
I have two theories:
1. For some reason, there are people who use "Yahoo Answers" as a points game. Some people just want more points so they'll throw down any answer to get 2 lousy points.
2. There are some very immature people out there. Some of the questions people ask are just as rude as the answers that are given. Narrow-minded, immature people seem to get off on looking like a cocky know-it-all.
NOTE: You'll find these people everywhere. BUT, the anonymity of the Internet gives them the 'guts' to treat other people badly without suffering the consequences that exist in the "real" world.

Most of the people answering questions are usually Teenagers that have too much time on there hands. The people that actually work for a living sometimes don't have time to get on the net and read some of these questions and answer them.

Probably because people aren't caring enough to actually help with your question/concern. There are so many people out there that are just in this for the points, as if they actually mean something.

There are alot of rude people let out of jails/hospitals/santiariums/mental asylums that have access to the internet!@

Apparantly, just like in real life, 70% of people are a$$holes. Concentrate on the other 30% and be happy you are part of that group. :)

My theory is that most people are pricks, or waiting for the chance to be pricks. Freeway traffic and Y Answers pretty much bears my theory out.

because they are stupid juvenille kids that want to piss people off and plus they are either black or mexicans with no education
