They seller offered the book, and then, about when I was looking for the book to arrive, refunded the entire purchase price. It was a pretty good price on a used book, so I was initially quite miffed.
In the end, I bought the same book from a different Amazon.com marketplace seller, for about 25 cents less. So, it all works out in the end slightly to my benefit, although my book was delayed.
I feel some compassion for the seller, as they can't ship a book they don't have, and it could have been damaged beyond the description, or lost. But, I was also initially very unhappy, and my only communication was the Amazon notification of a refund. What's the appropriate rating? I want to be fair (and reasonable), but also be truthful in my evaluation.
Ratings can be:
5 (Excellent)
4 (Good)
3 (Fair)
2 (Poor)
1 (Awful)
with a field for comments too.
Thanks!
