I know I probably sound, and kinda feel, really shallow for asking this, but I'm bored so I thought that I would ask. So, anyway, I'm 15, I have medium length black hair, brown eyes, kind of pale skin for someone who's mixed, and I dress in a lot of gothic or punk and sometimes emoish clothing.

I also wanted to know why some people think that you can't be goth and gay because I'm both, although noone really knows that I'm the second one.

This is exactly like how America's society is. So obsessed with celebrities, talking so much about what other people have going in their private lives, constantly talking negativetly about people when they would give anything to be in their shoes. I feel people should occupy their little lives by doing something productive, instead of constantly gossiping, but that's just me.

Christ gave us a beautiful gift from the cross upon His dying....one of the seven last words He uttered: "BEHOLD YOUR MOTHER."

I wonder how it makes Him feel to see so many of His followers ignoring His mother's role in our salvation? What was her role? She gave birth to God. She raised God. She watched God suffer and die. She held the body of her Son as He was removed from the cross, and she takes seriously her role as defined by her Son. Not to mention, Christ performed His first miracle at the request of His mother, which is in Scripture.

Do you think Christ is insulted when His own mother is honored? I sure wouldn't be insulted if someone came to me and said, "I love your mother." Would you?

(FYI: "Prayer" is not "Worship" in Catholic Tradition....Mass is Worship, and never will a Mass be said to Mary)

Many times, there's way better people waiting in line than the ones that are finally chosen as contestants. Is there a reason they do this, or are the ones that choose people dumb and will regret it later. Many times you can see if they wil be good or bad based on their auditions.. and frankly some of the ones they choose have a terrible audition...Can anyone explain to me, why they would choose people who are clearly no talents from the beginning?

So the Media is blowing this outta proportion... Seems like Gibson's drunk driving arrest its more important than the conflict in Lebanon...Some Stupid anchor said Mel Gibson with a beard looked like Saddams Hussein...MSNBC, CNN, and even FoxNews have picked this up. Do you care at all about this?? And why cant Jews be called out on all the **** they've done over the years?? Is it Anti-semetic to think they've caused alot of problems for the world? "I serve only God!" --- sounds nice doesnt it people? But, uhhh...how the f**k do you really do that? Think about it...I mean, if God is really speaking to me, then surely I must do what he wants, even if that means blowing up little children at school...but, IF God isnt speaking clearly, and I cant be 100% sure, that what could be worse that to claim to be "serving God"?

Humans are willing to do the most insane, counter-intuitive things because they "believe" they are serving God...right? So, if we arent 100% sure we are serving him, and he hasnt DIRECTLY ASKED, then, surely, we are suseptable to doing the greatest insanities stupid humans can concieve, or worse, we can be made simple pawns or puppets by others.

Tell me, what is scarier than a Muslim who is "serving Allah's will?"

Regardless the question, without empirical evidence of God, aren't all questions about God of poor quality?

How tall is God? Without empirical evidence, how can this ever be answered?

How does God feel about homosexuality? Without empirical evidence of God, how can this ever be answered?

Why did God create the world? Without empirical evidence of God, how can this ever be answered?

If you offer to me that you have a religious text that is the "TRUTH"; from "God"; if it was from "God" and it was the "Truth" why wouldn't everyone on this wonderful Earth today have the same religion?

Wouldn't God's word be so plain and obvious that it would be empirical evidence of his existence, thus we could have quality questions that would have objective answers.

The Way It Was (Don't Let It Be Again)

I used to wake up to shouting
My drunken father yelling
He'd stumble through the house
Always wanting to go out
He'd threaten us and throw things
Breaking our hearts and dishes
We'd beg and plead for it to stop
He'd always tell us he would
But it was just empty promises
Lies decorated with ribbons
I had to be strong
For my mother and my sister
I didn't cry or run and hide
Instead I faced the threat
And finally it was over
Or so we should hope
My dad stopped drinking
The violence and lies stopped
But I'm still afraid
That it will start again
And I will drop

ok so I have a question that I know is kind of hard to answer but i really need advice. So here i go...
My dad left about 2.5-3 years ago because he said that he's gay. So lately my sister and I have been getting together with just him (not with his partner). I have gotten together once and met his partner. I havent gotten together with both of them in like a year. So anyways... My mom is completely opposed to me getting together with both of them because she says that he is trying to bribe us to only do fun things is we get together with both of them (which he does do). He suggests to do fun things but we can only do them if his partner comes with. I feel that I should love both of them even though I know that what they are doing is a sin and I do have fun with them when I get together with both of them, but am I accepting/supporting that lifestyle by getting together a lot with them. Am I risking my faith by doing this. Am I wrong in doing this? Please Help if you can. advice/ answers would be greatly appreciated
