God Bless You!

You know something i am ready because as you said Jesus is coming soon. Even thou we don't know the day or hour, and not even the angels in heaven do. the only fact i should have in mind is that i have to be ready for when that day comes.

It's better dying thinking that there's a God
and finding out at the end that there wasn't any

Then dying thinking that there wasn't any
and at the end finding out there is one.

What makes you think he's coming and not already here? When his disciples asked him how they would know of his presence and the end of this system of things he said that in the last days there would be increasing wars, famine, disease, earthquakes, nation would rise against nation (Read Matthew chapter 24). He's already here, not that he's the cause of the distress we see. Rather these things would become more prevalent and see greater deaths than ever before in history and then the end would come. The question we must all ask is are we ready? Are we doing what he asked us to do in this time of the end? What comes after the end of this system of things? So many questions can be answered by using the bible. Once you have the answers much responsibility rest on each one of us to then be motivated to act on what we've learned.

If you take the Bible literally (and a lot of Christians do), then this generation is the generation during which Christ will return.

There was a prophecy in the Book of Revelations in the New Testament regarding the return of the Israelites to their own nation. The state of Israel was established in 1948, I think. This event is marked as one of the major milestones in Bible prophecy as a precursor to the return of Jesus.

It may not be this week or this year or even this decade, but I believe if you are a young person or young adult today, you are more likely than any generation that came before you to witness an extraordinary globe-changing event at some time in your future.

Ready for what, and can you see it???? jesus walking hand in hand with a bearded old boy, on the rays of light that decent from the clouds to the earth, holding the guy in the red suit with the pitchfork and the pointy tail, saying it is judgement day. Suddenly, all the yellow bodies will come floating up and go sit on a cloud and jesus and the bearded boy will touch each of their heads and have them sit there for eternity, and be happy.... blablabla.... (This is the visual fundmentalist christians would have us all hold, and it is not much different than fundamentalist Muslim idea of the 17 virgins, sweetie.....) You gotta be kidding, sweetie. Most intelligent, educated, thinking people gave up fairytales along with santa and the easter bunny. One cannot have belief in organized, revealed truth (religion), and DNA...... most of the educated long ago picked DNA. Evolution and Adam and Eve, just aren't on the same page, sorry. So, what should I get ready for? How about a lovely dinner with friends, a ride on my horse in the canyons, playing with my dogs, visiting a foreign country, shooting photos in Africa, or Nepal, or reading Egyptian Hieroglyphics. How about a trip to the British Museum, or Paris...... Yea,I'll get ready. But for jesus? what the hell for?

Yes I am ready, but as to your statement he is coming and soon; the bible states in the Book of Matthew:
Parable of the Fig Tree
32"Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;
33so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.

34"Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.

35"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

36"But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

37"For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.

38"For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark,

39and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.

40"Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left.

41"Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.

I am sure that in the Hitler's hay day many were saying the same thing.

About time, I mean late is late but 2000 years late is a little much. Of course people have been saying he is coming soon for 2000 years.

How soon? I'll bet you $20 its not in the next year. How's that Temple construction going? Almost done? Christ said this would all happen during the generation of his Apostles, 2000 years ago, and it didn't happen. Don't you even bother to read the Bible?

Is this like how he was coming in 2000? You people are crazy, try focusing on making the world a better place and not just thinking that judgment day is coming, so why worry.

Hey take a look at history for a minute. People have been saying he is coming and soon since he left. You'll probably be waiting in your grave and generations after you.
