"I serve only God!" --- sounds nice doesnt it people? But, uhhh...how the f**k do you really do that? Think about it...I mean, if God is really speaking to me, then surely I must do what he wants, even if that means blowing up little children at school...but, IF God isnt speaking clearly, and I cant be 100% sure, that what could be worse that to claim to be "serving God"?
Humans are willing to do the most insane, counter-intuitive things because they "believe" they are serving God...right? So, if we arent 100% sure we are serving him, and he hasnt DIRECTLY ASKED, then, surely, we are suseptable to doing the greatest insanities stupid humans can concieve, or worse, we can be made simple pawns or puppets by others.
Tell me, what is scarier than a Muslim who is "serving Allah's will?"

Here you go again, diarrhoea of the mouth. Another 3 reports for you, that's 15 times in the past day. You must get a thrill each time, or you wouldn't continue doing this. I'm not the only one reporting you, aka Insane Islam.
YOU are scarier than a Muslim doing Allah's will. All idiots with Internet access are.

Well put together. Here comes how: you are your own guide in religion.
You are absolutely free to believe whatever you want to believe and to do whatever you want to do. This strangely applies to the whole law enforcement in the world as well. You are free to do A, but if you do A, B happens. If you dont like it if B happens, stay out of it. But you are asking about how to know about what not to do so that nothing happens that you dont like, right? Well, it is basically as follows:
If you were to be bound to a certain belief, you would have born into it; meaning that you wouldnt have had much choice, but alas here you are asking about choice. That is all that matters anyway. I am not here to discuss the dilemma of choice and choicelessness, but to tell you that you must decide how the universe is run and be a part of it in your own way. All that you need already is in your possession.

a muslim who is not serving allah is scarier, unless you don't know about islam and just buy into stereotypes.
you're spot on about the problem of serving God, tho.
The Tao Te Ching says, "Do what's in front of you." Jesus said, "Whatever you do to the least of these, I'll say you did unto me." Muslims say charity is an essential part of life. Buddha says do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
The path is pretty clear. Don't wait for voices. They wouldn't be god. Otherwise, he woulda told all those indonesians to run for higher ground.

I think you don't want to serve God. You can't serve God unless you first accept what God says in His Word. And if you haven't trusted in Jesus, His Son, then any service you do is in vain.
When you are a believer, you will join those who believe where they are working. Sometimes God speaks through others. Sometimes you will be reading His Word and He will convict me of a area of service. Sometimes He speaks through the circumstances in our lives. And sometimes in my thinking and in my heart He uses the Holy Spirit to convict me.
If you follow the Muslim's "Allah" you will find at the end of your life that you choose wrong.

the scriptures teach that we serve God by helping others - and sharing the good news of the gospel.
In Christianity you will find some who are warriors(defenders/confronters), worshipers(singers/artists/writers), intercessors(prayers) or slackers(don't do much but they show up) --- we can have more than one of these characteristics... in you is the ability --- which one(s) feels natural to you ?
(you can know if people are serving God or themselves --- their life bears fruit of which they are serving)

God’s requirement that we serve Him, therefore, obviously is not for His benefit; rather, it is for ours. Because God is love (1 John 4:8), He wants the best for us. Our true contentment will be found only in living for Him, and that is why He bids us thus to do.

God is within you. So listen to the voice you feel inside. Everyone has a conscience. And remember that God has a plan (I believe so at least). So decisions that don't make sense to you now, might later.

The Bible tells you how to serve God, not men.
Listening to people who claim to know God and not looking to see for yourself is foolish.
So I exhort all you out there that are only believe a certain way because of your parents, family, etc. to search for Him yourself through prayer and study His word diligently (even if you have to start all over).
I was not raised believing what I believe. Each of us must search for ourselves. We cannot gain salvation through someone else.
John 8:32 says "The truth will set you free."
Romans 10:2 and 3 says "For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God; but not according to accurate knowledge; for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God but seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God."
so even those who have a zeal for God, but not according to accurate knowledge set out in the Bible, it says here that it's not "righteous".
Also the Bible says about people who are "having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power" are to be turned away from. So seek the truth and find it, because that is what time is for, and time is running out.
