This is an old wive's tale, but they say when u r pregnant and if u see something that scare's u and u grab your belly,it will mark your child. Well my Mother saw a snake when she was 8 month's pregnant with me and she grabbed her belly and ran! I am terrified of snake's but also kind of fascinated by them too. So I'm just wondering if any1 has any advice or if maybe the old wive's tale's r true????

Is the Vengeful, Angry and Vendicitive God of the Old testament a direct contradiction to the way Jesus was, IF you have not read the old testament, specially Leviticus and Deteronomy plz dont answer. When God ordered the israelites to stone their wifes and daughters if they begun to worship other gods, or stone homosexuals, doesnt this ring a bell in your head that there is something wrong with the bible as a whole. I am a christian and i believe that jesus is the way to God. I know jesus was jewish, but i also know that the things thas jesus taught us are no way near the same as what was told to the israelites 3000 years ago. The times dont justify the actions. Excuses such as; it had to be so that the messiah may come, or that people back then were evil, or that God was trying to preserve a holy society do not measure up to any logical or moral reasoning. Ordering anyone to Murder someone else will do nothing else but create Anger, Hatred, and Intolerance.

As war and crazy stuff that's happening in this world we await onto the lord sometimes we take the lords comming not serious. we tend to avoid God because we don't want to stop our way we live our lives, sometimes we ask God for stuff then later on we forget about him. How serious is this when God does come are you prepared to go with the lord romans 10 vrs 9-10 says 9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. just becuase you believe does not mean your saved part of beliving is also living a life for God i am not trying to convert anyone here. But i do want you to know that the Lord is comming and he is comming soon. Many are confused and many just don't care. I pray so many can understand Jesus is real and He does love you no matter who you are. God bless you Jesus loves you

I was just wondering if some one could tell me.
Has swinger come to mean something different than it once did.
You know sometimes words change meanings over time such as at one time gay meant happy and joyful and now it means of course homosexual.
The reason I am asking this question is that for me swinger has always had the meaning of an alternate lifestyle as explained in this link

However I see people on here listing themselves as swingers that have no interest in this type of lifestyle at all and think that it is gross or too far off the wall.
Some of these "swingers" are too young, 18 to 20 years old, to even know what they are.
Therefore I would like to know if the term has changed meanings or people are just trying to be misleading in their profiles.
As for me, I prefer the original meaning and that is what I choose to live by.
For those of you who would think that my lifestyle is gross or bad, well, all I can say is I never asked for an opinion.

1) If the 44 authors of the Bible wrote with the influence of the Holy Spirit, could they lie? If any of these did lie, would they do so by the influence of the Holy Spirit?

2) If any of the 44 authors did lie, would the Holy Spirit not have corrected them, as He did Moses and his law of 'divorce'?

3) If the 44 authors of the Bible were dishonest in certain passages, how can you trust they were honest in any passage?

4) If you lack the faith to believe no passage of the Bible is "man made", then how do you have the faith to believe any passage of the Bible isn't "man made"?

I know he may not Muslim, but it is written in Koran that one who will kill Non-Moslim will go to Heaven and enjoy 72 virgins. It is not written whether he is moslim or jew.
