Sometimes people think God as an evil person because he sits there and watches violence happen. Kind of like when the twin towers were attacked by planes along with the pentagon and killed many innocent souls. Many people either have read or haven't read the beginning chapters of the bible--when God created our world and noticed much evil towards his creation. He wanted to destroy it. So, he told Noah to build an arc to hold not only his family, but every animal two-by-two because God was planning on creating a 40 day/40 night storm to wash away all the evil that spread around the world. After the storm, and when the water washed away, there was a rainbow, which is a symbol stating that God will never make that type of storm again. However, God was still not happy with his creation because there still was evil around the world, but it wasn't that evil as before. Maybe others are angry over the fact that he takes away the lives of human beings. I'm not mad at God for taking my great aunt away. I may miss her, but I didn't want my aunt to suffer through all the pain and suffering from her ovarian cancer (which she had fought for 1 1/2 years). If she would have lived any longer, she'd just be stuck in a hospital with tubes all over her body to keep her alive. Maybe God is trying to take people away from us because he knows the earth is being overpopulated.

Well, I agree that God is about love, joy and peace. People who try to humanize or demonize God as being angry and judgmental are misinformed.
However, I must point out that we do not have the power to hurt God's "feelings". God is not a being. God is the energy of pure love, the process of life itself and does not have feelings which can be hurt like humans.

Two points:
1. I think God can be the "bigger being" here and not have his feelings hurt by people that don't believe in him. He has so many people who love him and believe in him.
2. Your god is not always about Joy and Peace. What about Job? And Abraham?

God's feelings can't be hurt unless we make him into a little ego like us. So many people make God into this thing that judges, sends people to hell, etc. -- and that's why this false image of god is rejected and rightfully put alongside the symbol of evil, Satan. Unconditional Love (the real God) is all about Peace and Joy and NOTHING about hell, sin, guilt, fear, judgment.

Matthew 7:5 (New International Version)
"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
First of all - the God you believe in, is a loving, and merciful God. I don’t think, his feelings are hurt.
Also - I don't think people make god out to be as bad as Satan -- but a lot of people do make believers in god out to be as bad as Satan. This is because, so many "so-called" believers, completely miss the point of their religion, and end up becoming huge, self-righteous hypocrites. The best and most common example of this, is Christians who judge.
I would say that over half the Christians I meet, completely judge other people. They don’t even realize that they are doing it.
They rally, and say things like abortions should be illegal and other such things, that if they listened to their religion, they would realize it tells them NOT to do this. If you are a Christian you need to accept the fact that your god does not want you to tell other people what they should do or how they should feel. If you are a Christian, you should NEVER feel "above non Christians" (like you know better than them) -- because you DONT -- you god tells you this. He/She tells you that you should turn the other cheek - and that he/she will take care of any sinners on his/her own.
So to sum it up, if you are a Christian -- you need to go study your religion some more.
Your religion is about ACCEPTANCE of everybody.
Your religion is about understanding that you don’t necessarily know best.
Your religion is about following god's will, not your own selfish desires.
So why don't you stop worrying about gods feelings (that’s pretty self absorbed/self righteous..... to think that YOU need to help protect gods feelings) -- or that god would want you too.) -- and start worrying about gods will.
That is what your religion is truly about - gods will.
I don’t think gods will is to get mad at other people for not believing in what you want them to.
Gods will if for you to leave us alone, and let him take care of us if he’s unhappy at us.
Gods will is for you to go do something positive, for people who need it, instead of complaining, that everyone can't be just like you!

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints
As heads is tails
Just call me Lucifer
'Cause I'm in need of some restraint
So if you meet me
Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste

God will allow people to burn for eternity if they don't obey Him.
Satan wants people to suffer for not worshipping Him instead of God.
Sounds the same to me. What is the difference?
If you obey God, Satan wants you to suffer.
If you obey Satan, God will cause you to suffer.
It is all about obedience. Love me or else.

God can hear you?
No seriously,
God and Satan don't care about any of us. They want our souls, and they manipulate us all to get us. You have to remain neutral in the fight between good and evil, because good and evil are relative. Think, question, answer, seek truth. Don't believe everything ou're told in church...
