Pagan but leaning strongly toward Isian Witchcraft.

I ended up on the left hand path years ago after being raised Christian. When I found Paganism it was like coming home. It was what a part of me had always believed. And, I found that it strengthened my character in a positive way.

I'm Isian because I've felt an attraction to the Egyptian Goddesses and Gods for a long time. I've connected with them and they have connected with me. I have also found studying the Kabbalah useful for my spiritual development.

Pagan, with strong Wiccan influence. Close enough to Wiccan that I could probably call myself that, if I chose, but I don't feel like I should, so I don't.

Currently working with the Greek pantheon, have been with a Kemetic-influenced group in the past. Time and circumstance moved me away from that group and onto a solitary path for the last 5-6 years.

Definitely not because of family - the vast majority of my family is Christian. I was Presbyterian till I was 9, then atheist, then agnostic, then "spiritual but not religious", then Pagan. Fortunately my family is respectful of my beliefs, even if they don't share them.

I'm Pagan. I'm not Wiccan. While Wicca is a very beautiful branch of Paganism, I prefer to stick with the tree, if you get what I'm saying. I have my own rituals and I do them my way by using my intuition, but if I were to name my tradition, I'd say it's the Gypsy tradition. But I've written my own rules, such as marking my degree status with a tattoo, trusting my intuition in all things, I've pretty much created my own rede, but it was created with discipline, lots of it.

I choose this lifestyle because I prefer to soul-search and meditate on decisions I make in my life, rather than blindly follow some doctrine written by someone I never even met. I chose this path myself. No one else in my family is Pagan. I also did not join because a friend was Pagan. I had met Wiccans and befriended them while I was trying to be a Christian, but their lifestyle didn't sway me in that direction. I came to this lifestyle on my own, with a little guidance from the Gods.

Blessed be.

Wiccan, self choosen. Looked at alot of different religions before I found the "right one" for me. My mom became Wiccan after she started asking questions of me. I gave her books to read on the subject.

I am Pagan. I have a doctorate degree in Wicca and taught Wicca for 21 years. Through personal study and practice the confines and in-fighting of Wicca no longer filled me. I now call myself a Pagan and a Witch that practices an earth-based spirituality.

Pagan- modern Canaanite polytheist. Why? Because it fit more with my beliefs and values than any of the other religions I looked into. My devotion to a West Semitic deity led me to look into the religion.

I chose my religion independant of family. My immediate relatives are mostly Christian and atheist. (Pagan family members lean in a much more Buddhist and nature-based direction.)

I follow a Pagan path that was revealed to me through meditation and journey. (No, I don't do drugs, they are against my religion). I call it Gegyre, which is a purposely syncretic word, Greek and Latin, meaning Earth Spiral. I walk this path because I was called to. My family is not Pagan, though many of them probably would be if they weren't so scared.

I'm Eclectic Wiccan by my choice. I grew up Catholic & didn't like the answers given or their teachings. Following the Rede & the earth religion path has answered a lot of questions for me that I had growing up. I'm comfortable with it. I feel like I belong. I'm accepted for my faults, warts & everything else without question. When I told my mom, she was like ok, fine. Teach me what you know. I have as much as she's wanted to know. My grandmother on the other hand, used to tell me I'm going to Hell, the Devil had me, etc. I finally got her to agree to disagree with me on my religious choice before she died. My son is growing up Pagan & is free to check out ANY religion he wants to. For now, he's fine with my path. He's also 9 & I know kids change their minds almost as often as they change their clothes.
