I am thinking that this actor(us) that dreams nightly and without actual control of where we forage to in our dreams is actually the life force or Soul ( a spark of God) that I think we are. So, I am lending toward the believe that once this "us" cannot return to the physical body for any reason, the end result is death. This "us" which I am surmising is eternal, continues on in another level beyond the vision. If that is the case, this human body is just a cloak for us to "figure" out something while we reside in it. This means animals are in the same category too!

By Quiet times - I mean that I try to have an indepth, meaningful experience with God 2-3 times a week. During those times I pray and study the bible. But I also try to apply the bible - to really think and not just take at face value what I read in the commentary or what I hear at church.
Do you do this? What helps you to think critically on spirituality?
PS you don't have to be a Christian to reply - I'm more interested in THINKING AND SPIRITUALITY.

So God said onto thee, let me give you intellect so that I might make you feel like a fool. What kind of sick joke is that? That's what I do to the people that I love; I constantly mess with their heads, nice.

I have a friend who says that no matter how much good you do in your life, that if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you won't get into heaven. Basically she is saying that despite all the good that Mother Theresa has done, that if she didn't accept Jesus and the Lord and Savior, she would be going to hell despite all the good deeds that she did etc. What do you think? I think it's a bunch of B.S.

Pascal's Wager is;

Suppose you are right. Suppose there is no God. Then when I die as a believer, I have lost nothing. I just die, as a man that devoted his life to love and morals. But if you, as a non-believer, are wrong and I am right, you have to spend an eternity in hell. See, I have nothing to lose, but you have everything to lose.

The problem with this line of reasoning is that there are thousands of gods that humans have imagined. A person who believes in Allah can make this statement, and so can a person who believes in God, and so can a person who believes in Vishnu. This multitude of fictional beings shows the silliness of the argument. There is no way to know which god to choose, because there is no evidence whatsoever indicating that any of them exist.

So there i was listening to a show about science and the topic of discussion was the creation of the moon and I heard their relevant theories which was one more than when I was a kid and I figured it out-I now know how the moon was formed-I know and they don't-I am a genius and I am not understood by this world because I can see things that they don't. The 3 theories involve "Simultaneou Creation" where both the moon and the earth formed together-that was ruled out- "The Capture Theory" where the earths gravitational pull pulled the moon in and it was captured like Jupiter has done to several of its moons-ruled out-so that the theory that persisited was the "Sudden ImpacT" where something hit the earth and this caused a portion of the earth to fall off and be retained in orbit-this was also further analyzed because of the samples that had been brought back from the moon and they were of a silica nature meaning that oxygen had to be present and that the moon was once magma. U GO GOD!
