So God said onto thee, let me give you intellect so that I might make you feel like a fool. What kind of sick joke is that? That's what I do to the people that I love; I constantly mess with their heads, nice.

God gave us intelligence. If we combine it with humility then we continue to learn and things make sense. We are able to understand more of God.
On the other hand if we combine it with arrogance, we begin to think that God does not make sense and eventually we think that we are superior or that he does not even exist.
So you have been given intelligence. What have you combined it with?

Actually what God said was...Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 1:18-20
As a Marine you should be able to see the logic in that. Take your salvation on the terms I offer or be devoured by the sword.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 3:16-21

I certainly don't know what you are talking about. Jehovah God is a good god. He loves us and created the perfect planet for us to live on. Man has screwed up some of Gods handiwork, but there are still beautiful places to visit and they are not a drop in the bucket compaired to heaven.
