Looking at a picture of a path going through a forest or a road meandering across a country scene-- perhaps one shown traveling out across the desert- what is feeling or the meaning of that for you. Do you, --- or could you think about the road or path as a metaphor for your life. What would your path look like. Where would it be going. I am writing my disertation on this idea and would like to hear what you think.

Do they mean different things? Where did these names originate from? Why do we still use all these today? Is there a difference between being British and English?

In the Old Testament (Tanakh) and the New Testament (Brit Hadash), there were instances where individuals experienced direct contact with God. In some instances the description depicts angels ascending and descending from heaven to earth and vice versa. Remember Jacob who "wrestled" with God and Jesus (Yeshua) who declared that his disciples would see angels ascending and descending upon Himself? Some say that worshipping God in "Spirit and in Truth" opens heavenly portals. What about those people who worship evil, who unknowingly open portals to evil? What happens to those sitting on spiritual portals who don't understand the spiritual realm or how to deal with it? Aren't they taking a huge risk?

Every society believes in a form of religion, maybe not everyone but safe to say the majority. I am wondering what would one society be like if there was no higher beliefe or some form of religion, what would it be like.

I am just curious as to when you think our scientists will be able to prove to us that they can recreate creation? Oops I meant the chance occurrence of life on this planet? Do you think that they will ever be able to create life from nothing? Even if evolution is how it happened will they ever be able to recreate how it all started? Or will some of them actually start to realize that there had to be a Greater Power than their own, perhaps God ?

Acts was written by one of Paul's disciples. It is where the story of Paul's blindness by Jesus is given. Should we be sceptical of Paul?

I can't seem to find any athesit/agnostics that are conservative Republicans. For arguments sake let's say 50% are dems, 50% are republicans...where are the athesit-agnostics that are also republican & conservative????

Could it be that the athesit-agnostic community that proudly say's they are nothing more that a cross-section of good old fashion Americans from EVERY walk in life....

are they really a very narrow group of liberal thinkers?

Do any dare to get out of line and not dance to liberal drum beat?

Are there any that think outside the very narrow liberal box?

Where is the CROSS-SECTION of Americana?

Note: please no long winded liberal rants..bla, bla, bla..show me contrast in thought!

Men have ruled the Earth for centuries now but that was not always the case. Aborgines have tried to guard the secret among their own people but it leaked out: once women ruled but they don't want them to find out because they are afraid it will happen again. Archeologists have discovered very ancient female Goddess icons in such multitudes that it is impossible to deny now the existence of the past Matriarchy. Though no written evidence has been discovered so far, all such strong evidence has eventually revealed the reality of something. So what do you think? This question is not asking you IF you believe it existed, but what do you think the world was like when women ruled? Was it better? Less war like? Maybe women created the beautiful rain forrests and other gorgeous things in the world. Why are the men destroying them now? How do we stop this and preserve our Earth?

could you cope living with the prejudice and stigma associated with the illness? are you in a relationship with a schizophrenia sufferer? what are the plusses and minusses of having a relationship with somebody who has this illness? is it really any different to having a relationship with somebody who is supposedly mentally well? i know plenty folk who are "sane" when not in drink, and then use their drunken state as an excuse to be violent, and yet that is regarded as acceptable behaviour. meanwhile mentally ill folk suffer in silence and solitude. are schizophrenics anything more than their illness/label? i could go on, and i intend to! have a heart. love and peace, swot.
