I can't seem to find any athesit/agnostics that are conservative Republicans. For arguments sake let's say 50% are dems, 50% are republicans...where are the athesit-agnostics that are also republican & conservative????

Could it be that the athesit-agnostic community that proudly say's they are nothing more that a cross-section of good old fashion Americans from EVERY walk in life....

are they really a very narrow group of liberal thinkers?

Do any dare to get out of line and not dance to liberal drum beat?

Are there any that think outside the very narrow liberal box?

Where is the CROSS-SECTION of Americana?

Note: please no long winded liberal rants..bla, bla, bla..show me contrast in thought!

Don H...My question isn't about fear...my point being the connection between atheist/agnostic thinkers are from a very narrow thinking block of thinkers..namely "Liberal".

I read all the time from athesit/agnostics that they view themselves as main-stream..and a cross-section of Americana...thus my point!

They are not main-stream...I see no contrast in thinking or judgement...but rather the center of thought is extremly narrow and centered and rooted in liberalism.

I would be happy if some would just say "YES" we are all 99.9999% liberal

Kitty..well..you missed it completly! The point is this: The claim that anteist/agnostics make that they are just a cross-section of Americana is totally bogus..100% NOT true..MY evidence is that they are 99.9999% LIBERAL..in other words they are not represented in wide range of ideas and thought...rather they are a very small minority in a VERY SMALL thinking POOL!

This atheist is a libertarian. I distrust the state because of its coercive power.

Wow, how many questions did you fit in there?
Well for me, I am agnostic. I am a consertive person, politicaly I fit with the Libertarian party. I am as far away from a liberal thinker as you can find. But I do think the relgious right has taken the Republican party away from the direction it needs to go.

That would be like saying those who are strictly conservative republican are not in the main-stream. You are being one sided, allowing for a double standard on your part. They are part of main-stream America, but only a small part. They are the minority, being smaller in numbers than those who claim Paganism. But that is the point... Variety IS America... not just Conservative Republican.

Like heterosexuals do not define themselves by sexuality, agnostics and atheist do not define themselves by denomination. Is not Kansas the laughing stock of the educated world trying to teach intelligent design, despite overwhelming proof otherwise. Atheists are from every race, every culture, every sex. Christians PROTEST at funerals that is the morality we all need. Soldiers die because God wants America to pay? Left is better than anti-American!

Again, I understand what it is that you are saying, but I think the important question for you is,

Why do you think you need to challenge the beliefs of these people?

You are sounding more Christian in this respect than they are.

What are you so afraid of, that makes you think you need to prove something about them.

You obviously have some idea about their belief system that frightens you or you would see them as just being silly.

Of course you won't, or can't admit this because frightened people always pretend to themselves that they are just right about, not afraid of what they feel the need to attack.

Think about this, ignore them and see to your own life. Your own actions are what you have some possibility of affecting

Right on... It's like a special interest group almost. They cry louder. Christians who supposedly compose a majority of this nation, don't need to cry louder, our freedom is ppromised and salvation is secure.
