The world then, was a wonderfully peaceful and creative one, pleasantries were abound and nobody wanted for naught....except once, every month, when all hell would be let lose and women went around sacrificing the men and eating the world supplies of chocolate...(well, I have to defend my male ego somehow!*cheesy grin*)
;)
On a serious note, the world was probably a much better place, when it was ruled in the majority by females, who were revered as sacred beings, Earth Mothers, due to their ability to give birth(before it was realised that the sperm played a part). By their nature, they are generally creative, whilst the male is renouned for his destructive trait. Yin/Yang and all that!
Nowadays, one can hardly make a distinction, due to social influences and the long reign of male domination. Such is the way of things.
:)

It was also suggested that Atlantis was ruled by women. Of course it's a well guarded secret - I would imagine 'men' are the ones who guarded it (sorry guys)
- On the one hand it couldn't continue that way because men are physically stronger than women, and would eventually rebel and force women out of power.
- On the other hand women come with their own failings that would make it near impossible for them to stay in charge. Such things as jealousy, revenge, backstabbing, manipulating - women are crueler and more underhanded than men, especially if they want a certain man that another woman also wants.
- It would be best if the world were ruled by those that saw themselves as neither male nor female, but meerly a human being, and did not have the personal agenda's of greed for money and power.

Women did rule, but with the hand of a motherly kindness for the most part. That does not mean they were weak, it means they were the mothers and made decisions for the well being of the children and the society before the selfish desires of themselves. Don't kid yourselves, you take the wondering seed spilling man out of the equation and there is not the competition and jealousy that you see in the women today. It’s the patriarchy that creates that competition.
Women by nature are not aggressive or combative, but get between them and their children and that changes.
I agree it’s a well guarded secret but one that’s about to be ripped wide open. Its already started with the truth coming out about the churches, the Vatican especially, the good old boys clubs, the child sex rings and well it goes on and on, It’s the apocalypse ( the unveiling of the truth)
There are myths, fables, stories all around the world about the time when men killed the women, leaving only young girls in order that they could take the power for themselves and gratify their lust for sex and combat. We don’t hear those stories, but we do know about the Salem witch trials and the massacres of girl children in China and the selling of young girls into sexual slavery. We all know down deep what is really going on and to their shame, many men know but will not go against the mainstream. Really could women make a worse world?

My thought is that it couldn't have been any better than men are doing it right now. Why? 1) As you say its a well-guarded secret--I say if they were successful it would be common knowledge. 2) If they were successful at it, they'd still be doing it as well. 3) Women are still the same species as man, so what makes you think they would be any different than men when in power? 4) Observe women who get into power today, do they act any different than men? Just look at Hillary Clinton, she's a man without the balls that's all.
The rest of your sub-questions imply some form of sexism on your part, so I'm not going to address gorgeous things, rainforsts and destruction...You need to be re-educated to eliminate your sexist bias.
--A man.

If they were successful in these things, why are they not in charge now? It would appear strength overtook them and created a world of survival of the fittest. Going into female vibration for our world would create peaceful solutions rather than war as the ultimate power.

Man, I hate to pee in your Crystal Lite but that's just ridiculous... I won't even be mean enough to expound... just ridiculous.
Except one thing: "...Why are the men destroying them now? How do we stop this and preserve our Earth?"
You can't do anything!!.... You're women!! The Earth was made for Man. Woman was made for Man. We treat you both about the same. Wake up!!
I know these aren't nice words but sometimes...Reality Bites.
Here's one for ya... how come no one ever says "woman-made"?
--Because EVERYTHING'S MAN-MADE!! (even women)

Every freaking day, I do what my wife wants.
Before that, I did what my girlfriends wanted.
And before that, it did what my Mom wanted?
If I am in charge, some one forgot to tell all fo the women in my life.
