okayy so in 1 Thessalonians.. it it talks about Jesus' Second Coming and in Chapter 4:16 it goes..

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.."

CELL PHONE VS. BIBLE
I wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our
cell phones?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we flipped through it several times a day?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it as we traveled?

What if we used it in case of an emergency?

This is something to make you go...hmmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't ever have
to worry about our bible being disconnected because Jesus already
paid the bill!

There would be no long term consequences, and you can't tell anyone why, but for $10,000 would you be willing to not bathe, brush your teeth, use deorderant, comb your hair, or shave any part of your body for thirty days?

From what I could find online, "questioning" is the step before "coming out" as gay. Someone I am dating was questioning, but he now says he is straight. I don't know whether or not to believe him, because I am a girl and I do not want a gay boyfriend.

Seriously, God can do anything, at any time with no effort.
Such is the infinite power of a true god.

Having to send his "son" to earth to die and be ressurected sounds more like a higher dimensional being (that is NOT god, anymore than we are a god to ants) testing out a scientific experiement of some kind. Really, why does Jesus HAVE to DIE for us to go to heaven? Couldn't he have lived for like 1000 years and founded a truly good chruch which respected women equally? Couldn't god have ressurected us from day one.

So is Jesus an Alien? or is this whole thing just untrue, created by diciples and priests to gain power/money?

I can be good and live purely, and some christians would say I don't go to heaven unless I accept Jesus. Are they wrong, or does belief in a god without supreme power the only prerequisite for heaven?

Were you embarrassed? Do you still think it's taboo to cry openly?

This question came up because of an incident I ran into. I was at the grocery store yesterday and witnessed a woman reprimanding her 2 or 3 year-old son for crying. She kept belittling her son by gruffly asking him repeatedly, "Why are you crying? Are you a girl? Why are you crying like a little girl?"

The poor boy tried so hard not to keep crying. I felt really awful for the boy and I was so tempted to put the mother into a headlock and sweep the floor with her face.

It got me wondering if this is still prevalent nowadays, this whole conditioning of male children not to cry in public.

It seems important to bill ourselves (Humans) as a Dignified species when it suits us, but we seem hell bent on creating chaios within chaios, which may one day lead to our ultimite doom. Its a struggle to try and understand just how advanced or retarded humans really are.

To elaborate, my mother raised me to believe in and worship God...no one else. I specifically remember her saying "if you choose to follow a religion, I want you to do it because your heart told you so......not me". So when I got to that age when you start wondering what God's all about, I started studying the three one-God religions (Islam, Judaism, Christianity) and my heart told me to follow Islam. Did anyone else have this experience, or do all of you follow religion "x" because Grandma, Papa, Mama and Uncle told you to.

Why is it that the naacp labels itself as a black american interest only not listed as a racist club, and the NASWP is.
why are such events as miss black america not held accountable as a racist origanization the same as an all white would be.
Why is it that in britian a muslims day only is ok but a christians day only would be outlawed immediately.

And if you're going to just say "we know it's true because it says it is" or some other such stupidity, please don't bother answering.
If you are going to say "because it's the Word of God", I expect to hear that God came down and told you this personally.
