Why don't we just all forget about black, white, red, purple, and all that other stuff that we keep bringing up. I hate to say that the n word isn't just a word for blacks, it is a word that describes incompatent, lazy individuals that want nothing but hand outs. IF that applies to you then so be it. A cracker is a substance of food usually ate with cheese, not a way to describe a white person. IF only everyone would get educated, and stop the ignorance that plagues us as a country then we could all get along. Who cares what happened 50-100 yrs ago?? That is now history; history is meant to learn from, not drag out for years to come. I do find it disturbing that there are organizations specifically designed for a certain race, and I feel that we should all have equal opportunity in ALL things. I get tired of hearing blacks whine and complain about this that and the other, and when we all look at it, you have it pretty good with all the hand outs you receive. Try being white, and applying for food stamps, or any other type of help. I am aware of what the blacks had to go through several years ago, but do some research, and you will see that your own kind sold you off, and still do to this day in some african country (ivory coast). Education is a marvelous thing, not only will it make you more informed of your background, but it will also teach you how to communicate effectively with others. After all, every living thing that I am aware of bleeds red.

the organizations and events that you speak of exist because they were born out of times when blacks were not treated equally and were not recognized by the majority society.....whites. it was only fitting that an organization that dealt specifically with the needs of blacks existed then and still exists now, although today's naacp has more than just black members.
because an organization has a specific interest, why does it have to be racist? this organization has not perpetrated any violent acts against any people, unlike the kkk. instead its mission was to bring together and strengthen a people who were very much disenfranchised in america. there are also the same types of organizations and events within other cultures, so why single out the naacp? the naacp has done marvelous work and continues to do so as well as recognize people across various walks of life and cultures.
i'm sure others (maybe members) can shed more indepth light on this organization as well as others that well represent their cultures.

They don't mind standing beside a white guy when they lecture to the masses on the advancement of blacks. Whereas organizations like the KKK, well, burn crosses among other various hateful and illegal practices. And you'll never find a black man in sight unless he's hanging from a tree. And the black panthers are no NAACP, obviously.

I couldn't agree more! For years, this has bothered me so much, but there's not much I can do about it. In today's times, people call this 'reverse discrimination', but I think any organization that caters only to one race, no matter what it is, is racist. Discrimination is discrimination in my book. Take the United ***** College Fund for example-can you imagine the uproar it would cause if someone started a United Caucasian College Fund? It wouldn't last a week! I know that in America's past, blacks were treated unfairly by whites, that they suffered from discrimination, but that was years ago. Racism cannot be eradicated until everyone moves forward as one race-the human race. Any organization that caters to one race should be disbanded immediately...unless black people are going to allow whites, Mexicans, and every other race in America to create an organization that excludes them.

Silly person do you not know that only white people can do wrong and only white people can be prejudicial and only white people can be racist and only white people can be intolerant. White people can not be put on the news when they are the first to do something. I never hear "Today the first white ever was elected or the first white female is president of some big company" You will never hear about the first white person to do anything because we are expected to do great things , I guess it is not news worthy when a white person does anything but arrest a black man then it makes headlines all across America.

Some people will not get your point. The organizations that hold up the rights of minorities are valid. Remember, things have changed alot in the past 50 years.
However, I will agree with you that these organizations and "political correctness" as a whole is way out of control. I think all races, ages, sexes could agree on that.

i easily believe you, there are such an excellent style of racist agencies and rules placed into position that are meant to make issues "honest" for all of us even if it has gotten to the point the position whites are coming to a downside. like if 2 people one black and one white utilized for an same interest and had an same skills, that's possible that the black guy will be picked to fill the employer "quota" of minorities that favor to be on team. how is that honest? Toronto in simple terms spread out its first all black college and it become CELEBRATED! i cant believe this on account that their ancestors spent centuries struggling with for equivalent chance to be in faculties with people of alternative races, in simple terms to bypass back to having a separate equipment back? and what do you skinny would take position if the following day i opened an all white college?? why cant we in simple terms quit all of this and in simple terms be equivalent. those with more advantageous skills get the interest inspite of race, and in simple terms enable the little ones bypass to college mutually, if something they're only reinforcing racism interior the little ones, what occurs even as they bypass out into the authentic international might want to stay in a multicultural society for the first time? tell me they wont see in black and white.

There are white members of the NAACP. You're trying to say, and most racists would agree, that by minorities having associations and groups to combine their collective power, much like the religious right does, that they are unfairly excluding others, they're not.

I think that you are absolutely correct, but if you look at history, it was the white person who wronged other races the most, and now those races have rights and part of that is the right to holler racist first
and now in today's society it is politically correct, and in our life time we will not see the race thing gone, so we all have to live with it
