The best way to overcome any negative effects of past actions that may presently be preventing you from achieving the success you would like, is to meet it calmly and pleasantly. In the midst of karmic difficulties, concentrate not on your problem or present situation (which will only strengthen it), but on generating a strong flow of positive energy.

Focus less on your competition and more on perfecting the usefulness of your service or product. If you do this, your energy will be directed inward and will remain positive and expansive. Your customers, too, will appreciate your thoughtfulness and will reciprocate by giving their loyalty to you.

To generate the kind of positive energy that can overcome negative karma, try practicing some of the following:

1. Focus more on giving than receiving. Remember this saying of Paramhansa Yogananda: “When one helps others achieve prosperity, he attracts prosperity to himself.”

2. Avoid blaming others, or Life, for what happens to you.

3. Observe how acts of service expand your consciousness and sense of identification with others. Note how people and situations respond to the energy you project.

4. See people or events as merely the instruments of your karma, to teach you. Accept responsibility for your actions, past and present.

5. Remember, the more conscious energy you generate, positively, the sooner your bad karma will be nullified. As you plan and act, always remember to ask God to bless your efforts.

Take something like murder or rape... most would say these are wrong. By what standard are they wrong? If you say the Bible than you are saying that the Bible is God's Word and the ABSOLUTE, authority on moral questions. I believe this to be true. However, if you do not believe the Bible is absolutely true in All that it teaches, what other absolute source would you judge by. If you say man's opinion than right and wrong are no longer valid and we are left with anarchy. Hitler had majority rule, but this did not make him right. Your thoughts please.

I am challenging those who beleive gay lifestyles are wrong to give solid christian approaches to lovingly, and biblically defend thier position. No gay bashing, just simply practical applications of faith in our modern society.

I have had people tell me that God, through Jesus Christ, will forgive every sin except those that are willful. Isn't this just an excuse for a person's own self-righteousness?

I was really curious after I watched the movie, as to whether or not the bones of Mary Magdalin are actually located in under the glass pyramid. Did Dan Brown just add this detail himself, or did he find evidence of this from research? I would greatly appreciate any response to this question - I am currently doing research on philosiphy and religion. Thanks so much for your time, please respond!! :)

I am a christian. I love Jesus and believe in him wholeheartedly. I read the Bible and I pray all the time. But I don't agree with some of the rules. I don't see how being gay could be a sin. Or just thinking about sex. It is a natural reaction. Doesn't God love EVERYONE, no matter what?

What knowledge was given to Adam and Eve by the fruit. And yes although it brought many punishments to humankind. If history could be done over again. Would you not want them to do it? If so how knowledgable will we be without eating the fruit?

Historians often discount the bible as accurate history. Theologians say that much of scripture is no longer relevent for christians. What is the truth? Is the bible--the whole bible--a true and invaluable guide for christian life today? Is it just a good history book full of inspiring stories? What do you think?

Judas betrayed Jesus, everyone knows this. But did he have a choice? Everything is part of God's masterplan. Jesus had to die for our sins, he had to be betrayed by someone. Was Judas destined from birth to betray Jesus, chosen eons before his birth by God...or did he choose of his own free will to do it?

I'm friends with the bride and groom, but not close friends. Also, I'm a student, whereas they are working and clearly have more money than I do. On the other hand, I did get an invitation to the wedding. I would like to get them something off the registry, but not sure how much $ is appropriate. Any ideas?
