Hare Krishna's are devotees of Lord Krishna. It's a movement where people learn to remember God and never forget Him.Krishna forms the centre of everthing in one's life. In this age and time, it is not possible to follow heavy rituals or sacrifices and the Hare Krishna movement showers mercy to all living souls where simply by chanting "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare":a practical and joyful way of life, centered on selfless spiritual service to God and all His children. An easy and effective mantra meditation technique, which constitutes the distilled essence of all Vedic methods for self-realization.

How can chanting ""Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare": bring joy? well these are not mundane sounds. Maha means “great” and mantra means “sacred chant for deliverance.”

Of all mantras in the Vedas, one is called the maha-mantra, or great mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare.

The words “Hare” (pronounced ha-ray), “Krishna” (pronounced krish-na), and “Rama” (rhymes with “drama”), are Sanskrit words. “Hare” is an address to God’s energy, known as Radha, and “Krishna” is name of God meaning “He who is attractive to everyone.” “Rama” means “one who gives pleasure and enjoys life.”

When chanted the maha-mantra is a petition to God: “O Krishna, O energy of Krishna, please engage me in Your service.”
The Lord is manifest in this chant. I have tried it and experienced the joy over time, along with reading the philosophy and more about Krishna and our realtionship with Him.
