Seems good on the surface. But I just have a problem with church members going where there is so much flesh being shown. Hope they don't get caught up in things they don't need to get caught up in.

Well, that was a pretty good scene in the movie "The Lair of the White worm..." Of course, something a little less violent would be better, especially if you're trying to get more converts.

I took a few minutes to look over the site. Actually looks pretty genuine to me. It's made up of Christians who have taken an interest in making sure the gospel is preached to people in the pornography industry, and there's obviously a desperate need for the gospel there.

My only concern is that these Christians are actually going to adult expos and other such shows to spread the message of Jesus Christ to the people there, and going to an adult expo generally means buying tickets -- i.e., pumping money into the porn industry. So the same Christians who are in one way attacking the porn industry by bringing the gospel to featured performers, visitors, and other people there are also supporting the porn industry indirectly through their purchases. (Not to mention they are exposing themselves to sexual temptation by the truckload in going to such shows.)

Also, the title of the XXXChurch Bible "Jesus Loves Porn Stars" tends to suggest (inadvertantly, I would assume) that being a porn star can somehow be consistent with being a believer in Jesus Christ (who in his own words condemned the act of looking upon another person with lust -- i.e., the bread and butter of the porn industry). I hope XXXChurch members convey to their listeners that one of the costs of becoming a Christian is repentance from sin, and that includes repentance from the porn industry.

In summary, I definitely applaud the sincerety, genuine concern, and humility of the people involved with XXXChurch, but I'm not 100% sure of their methods. I certainly agree with them that the gospel needs to reach people in the porn industry just like it needs to reach anybody and everybody else, but I think they should consider other methods of getting the message of the gospel into those circles, as their current methods wind up indirectly supporting the very industry that they are, through the conversion of its participants to Christianity, seeking to tear down.

I used to be really into church, but now I have gone through a divorce and found that the church was no help. They treat me like a second class citizen. If you have to find God through church then I am afraid we are all in trouble. Church seems to put a lot expectations on people but doesn't help them meet them. Many church people are really judgemental.
