I am a christian. I love Jesus and believe in him wholeheartedly. I read the Bible and I pray all the time. But I don't agree with some of the rules. I don't see how being gay could be a sin. Or just thinking about sex. It is a natural reaction. Doesn't God love EVERYONE, no matter what?

Not necessarily..but..Your unbelief does not change anything...you have to understand the order God has ordained from the beginning
God is a God of order the bible says He is not the author of confusion and a man laying with a man is confusion
As far as sexually impure thoughts...when Jesus showed that at 1 time it used to be you had to be caught in the act of adultery or fornication to be charged...But now...
If you think sexually impure thoughts it is adultery..why?? because sexual thoughts generated in the mind are from your own thoughts or lust......
the word fornication ..if you have a strongs or can look in a strongs concordance..says in the greek the word is
PORNIA,,Pornia...look at the word the first 4 letters says alot...porn is wrong because it generates sexual thoughts...and even though you may never meet a porn star...you imagine them in a sexual way generating a physical reaction...which when acted upon can cause you to commit adultery or fornication...
God wants as a child of God for your thoughts to be clear...why?
Because it is through your mind that he speaks to us ...so to have a mind clouded by sexually impure thoughts makes it hard ...as hard as someone who uses a drug or stimulant that clouds your mind...God is very concerned because He wants to deal with you as a Father deals with his child and ..all this stuff does is distract you from him
Let me remind you ...God did not save you and give you liberty from the detrimant of sin ..for you to be reckless..He saved you so you can be a testimony to the world...of HIS love and ability to deliver you from hell...which is not just the torment ..but to be eternally seperate from him....
God does love everyone of us ...but he loved us enough to pay the price show us the way...have a place for us ...so that we can enjoy his eternal joys ..love..peace ..in him...instead of going to hell ....
so...no you are not a hypocrite...because at least you had the sense to ask...but if you thought nothing of it and went on with your life and held the mind that ...just be a good person and you'll be alright... you would be a hypocrite
Finally as I said in the beginning Paul asked a question...he said does our unbelief make the word of God of none effect?...another words if we don't believe a part of the word..does that make that word null and void...because you don't believe it..He said no let God be true and every man a liar...
Although you may not fully comprehend it don't make it to be nothing in your mind...know that if you truly desire God will make every effort to show you his truth..God bless

GOD LOVE's every Human Being HE ever CREATED.
Adam and satan messed everything up.
About being gay:
1. They can all make it to HEAVEN.
2. This subject is deep.
3. The BIBLE say's that What-so-ever's can accept JESUS and go to HEAVEN.
4. What-so-ever's are Human Being's sent to the EARTH to be Born, they are Perfect untill they reach the EARTH and get Borned, then they get messed-up. Not their fault. Lot of reason's why they get messed-up. They are called by GOD, What-so-ever's.
5. If you are A-o.k. when you are born Male or Female, then change side's (pratice being gay) then this is a SIN.
6. If you are born on the EARTH, and are Really confused from the inside out, JESUS will help you figure it out, HE is the ONLY ONE WHO can. And HE is the ONLY ONE WHO can Judge what is SIN in these case's.

Glad you're a Christian. I believe you're growing in your Faith as well by asking these questions.
First being gay is NOT what God had in store for us. He created us to be with the opposite sex. Man and woman.
Thinking of sex is natural. However it shouldn't be on your mind all the time and usually thinking about sex leads our minds into other thoughts.
God does love EVERYONE...He chose to create us and give us life therefore He loves us...no matter what.

Bless you my dear sister in Christ. The best thing you have everdone is to ask Jesus to be your savior. He will never leave you or forsake you. Let Him teach you and lead you in your life. Pay attention to the convictions the Holy Spirit will bring upon your heart.
It is true that we worship a loving God who is fair and just. Dont forget He is also a God of wrath who will not let any sin go unaccounted for. He loves us while we are sinners but He cannot abide with sin. If you cant give up your sin then He cant forgive you for it. You have to repent of sin and then Jesus will wash it away. Jesus is not a get out of jail free card. We are puchased for a price. We are no longer our own but belong to our Lord and Master Jesus Christ.
Lord means the one whom we obey. The one who has authority over us. Jesus asked "Why do you call me Lord and do not do as I say?" Luke 6:46
Anything that we put above God is a sin. If you choose to live a gay life style you are playing with a pet sin. Some sins are just mistakes. Others are short term and we come to realize it is simply not good for us to take part in them. Other sins become a life style and we spend all of our time trying to rationalize this activity when we really know better.
You need to put God before your desires. Yes every desire. If you do He will give you better things to desire and He will fulfill them for you.
Can you be gay and Christian? Yes you can. Does it make it OK? No.
As Christians we sin but we seek to be closer to God. We seek to be more like Christ. As we grow more in love with Christ and less in love with ourselves we learn that certain activities we once enjoyed are not what we want to do anymore. This is because we realize it is not pleasing to Jesus.
Would you ask Jesus to go with you to your girlfriends bed? Well, each time you sleep with her Jesus is there with you. He is with you all the time.
I hope in time you will understand what I am saying. There have been things in my life I have chosen not to do anymore because I think it makes Jesus unhappy with me. I will be ashamed when He mentions these things on judgment day.

We are all hypocrites. As a Christian I have to admit that I do things that I know I should not. GOD STILL LOVES ME. YOU TOO. What if your younger brother or sister or child, came to you and said they were doing something that you knew was life threatening bad for them. If you love them, could you really stand by and not say anything. Do you think they might react the same way you are.
Bottom line is that we are to love God with all of our heart mind and soul. If I put my bad behaviors first, then I'm loving something else more than God. Even when I do. HE STILL LOVES ME. YOU TOO

the Bible says that a man should not lay with a man as he lays with a women, the Bible also says that their are certain people who will not enter the kingdom of heaven. This is what i believe. the Bible also says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. this i also believe...i have strong beliefs. but it is not my job as a Christian to convince others that i am right and they are wrong. i will not shy away from arguing my beliefs, but the Holy Spirit is the Convicter of Hearts, not my words. Now God can use my words as an instrument....i would only pray that my brother or sister would have worked out their own salvation with fear and trembling before it was to late. the circumstances could be detrimental...

I wish there were more Christians like you. Most Christians are so judgemental especially about being gay or just about being sexual in general, especially if you aren't married. I don't think you are a hypocrite at all!
