In worldly terms, what sort of things would you define as idolatry?

(think about it...)

Consider the fact that Idolatry is 'worshipping other gods'...or 'anything you have in your life, that obstructs your ability to worship God with all your heart, soul, and mind.'

My boyfriend is always nice to me except for when his friend Alex is over when Alex is over he insults and they laugh at me and make fun of me and he is not himself at all! I'm thinking the President of Iran. The reason is because I found this website of his comments that he made. I would tell you which site, but sorry, I lost it. Anyway, believe me or not, he says he wants to eradicate Israel, which is Jesus' homeland, and also says he will give rights to women, which I find hard to believe since that country is totally against womens' rights. So, that would be a hint to his deception. The anti-christ's main goal is to deceive people into praising him, just because that would be the ultimate revenge on God - to deceive His "greatest creations" (human race) and torture them in the lake of fire.....
No racial offense intended. It could be Bush, unlikely, but possible. Enough of my theory! I wanna hear what you all think.

it's just wierd.....i'm biracial(black\white), i hang out with asians, muslims, and indiansmostly. my friend thinks he's a werewolf, and four of my other friends are slight pyromaniacs...i enjoy hip-hop and rap, but i love dance, breakbeat, trance, chillout, etc., besides my closest friends, all of my friends are girls, people used to make fun of me for being fat, now everyone says that i should gain a couple of pounds....i dunno, am i normal?

teachings been treated leniently and considerd "outdated". Has the church bent the word of God to suit a post modern society?

If the new testament is supposed to be the new covenant, does this not belittle the orginal word of God?

I am 30 and going through a tough time that is showing me just how strong I am... But it is hard, leaving my families religion and it feels like leaving them. They are hopeing I'll come back and see the error of my ways. And so I am leaving town after 12 years of trying to be accepted by them and the church community and finally accepting the way they are is the way they will be. Not even able to go to Walmart without feeling like those family friends I run into are trying to 'reach me'... I need my own life and so I go. A single mom with my pets to a town where I no no-one. I have no really intimate friends to rely on at this point and today my today my neighbor claimed that my dog bite her kid (if my dog did, I don't blame him as this kid is really mean to my dog, unintenionally, but all the same, you don't hit, kick and pull a dogs hair and refuse to let it run away as you pull on its hair).

My life has alot of great, but today, I just need a hug.
