Is it a legitimate name from a real culture or nationality, or a made-up one? If it's made-up, I would advise against it. Random syllables pulled from the alphabet do not make a name, no matter how much some people wish it to be so. If it's a real name--one with meaning and history, or a family last name--at least you'll have a good reason to use it. Even so, the child will be plagued with people asking, "How is it pronounced?" Is it like "Alladin" but without the first syllable?

Ladan doesn't mean flower, but is a kind of flower (not sure what it's called in English).
pronunciation : the first 'a' is a 'long a' sound (as in car), and the second one is a 'short a' (as in cat).

nice name !
